    At that time I had a access to a desktop with a Celeron D 2.4GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, integrated SiS graphics, a case that vibrated and rattled horrendously and dialup. It was actually slower than the laptop that replaced it by a lot (had twice the RAM and storage though).

    Another one of my old(er) systems.
     
    HP Microserver N40L. Low-power AMD dual-core Turion (I think) 1.5Ghz, 8GB RAM ECC (will go to 16, but the pricetag is jaw dropping) custom BIOS, RAID with 1TB in 4 drives, low power/low profile video card (AMD something) and sound card.
    Again, apologies for the quality of the shots, at home, rather than in the studio with proper lighting. This was pretty much ambient.
