  1. Hi, System running, display went. On restart, no display out of HDMI port, display looks like (attached) out of DP, can only boot into safe mode in windows. Cable/Monitor works fine with onboard graphics. Tried reseating in PCIe, has been running fine for 4 years, unlikely to have overheated. Any chance of saving it or is it finally dead? Thanks, Tom
  2. $400? haha I hope you're joking or you secretly want to buy and are driving a hard bargin lol
  3. How would the fact that the parts are older affect price? I was hoping that the price reduction due to old parts would be brought back up by it already being built.
  4. I think it was about £800-£900 new, spent way too much on the cooler. Was hoping for >£600 so I can invest in a new smaller rig (less powerful). Thanks though Cheers
  5. Hey, All of the parts are approx 2 years old. Never had any trouble, been kept in really good condition. All opinions welcome, thanks for taking the time to have a look! Tom The rig - Case: Corsair 500R Mobo: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 CPU: i5-3570K @ 4.7Ghz Cooler: H100i Graphics: MSI R7950 Twin Frozer III PSU: Corsair CX750M Storage: 1x OCZ Agility 3 120gb, 1x Seagate 500gb, 1x WD 1TB Blue Genuine (Yeah seriously) Windows 8.1 EDIT: 8Gb corsair vengeance memory (2x4gb)
  6. Could really use some help on this. I just noticed something slightly odd with my monitor, it flicked for a second, the I noticed some loss of detail on one side of my monitor. When I had a look, I can see tiny lines across one side of the monitor, and it has a pinkish hue . I can also visibly see the lines shown in the other picture, but only on one side. I've tried using a different cable, and my other monitor is fine. Tried a restart too. Any suggestions? Thanks Tom.
  7. Snip one of the black wires next to the green one on the 24pin power connector, then hide it in the tangle of wires. You can recover their data easily if need be. I speak from experience :P
  8. Yes you can. I used a copy of win8 upgrade version to upgrade a fresh win7 install. You can also create bootable media from the 'upgrade only' version that will work on any machine even without an OS. Basically the builders edition is Microsoft trying to rip off people who think they need to spend £50 more.
  9. Shelf price is the same. Otherwise it would say 'exclusive online saving'. Believe me, I know, I work there :P EDIT - Like this - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/laptops-netbooks/laptops/laptops/sony-fit-15-svf1521p2eb-15-6-touchscreen-laptop-black-21350485-pdt.html

  11. Nah I had a RAT 3 and upgraded to the 7. The 3 was good but the 7 is much more comfortable.
