  1. You could install GParted on a flash drive, then boot from it and check. GParted tends to be much more reliable than Disk Management. If it still shows only 50 GB, you probably got scammed lol.
  2. We're learning about netstat in my CompTIA class, and after a netstat on my own computer, I find a ton of open UDP ports. In my CompTIA class, essentially what they're telling is open UDP = bad. Is my computer vulnerable, or am I just paranoid?
  3. No, of course that wouldn't work. On the server, I use localhost, from a remote computer, I use the server's IPv4.
  4. It's on LAN. And, I have to use FTP, it's my only option for the application I'm using.
  5. I have a computer next to me that I configured to be a FTP server through IIS. If I try to connect to the server through that computer (ftp://localhost), it works fine. But if I try to connect to the server from another computer, it acts like the server doesn't exist. I already enabled port forwarding and enabled FTP in Window Firewall and all that stuff. I'm a noob with networking and am quite confused right now. Please help.
  6. It runs whenever it's set to "While I'm Working", but it only works on light or medium, not full. And if I select my GPU, nothing happens at all. I don't know, I guess my laptop is just old, and sometimes things just don't work. I'll just have it set to run while I'm working, at light power from now on.
  7. I set up the Folding@Home software on my computer, and set it to run at full power when my computer is idle. And my computer usually hibernates if it is idle, but since I've set up Folding@Home, it's stopped doing that, as expected. However, I still don't have any new data on my Folding@Home Web Control Console. It still says I have 0 earned points, even though it's been running for at least two weeks now. How do I tell if it's actually working or not?
  8. So, my grandfather's laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 1470. He says when he tries to start it up, the keyboard lights flicker, then the whole thing turns off. He's never had any problems with it in the past. It's frustrating because I can't get my hands on the laptop due to quarantine, and I can only communicate with him through texting. He does leave it on the charger all the time, so it very well could be a battery health issue. There's no cables other than the charger plugged in that could be interfering with the startup process.
