upgrading Upgrading the Ol’ Ryzen 2600X
tank234 replied to iBoofKratom's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
well the 3600 is a better choice for mostly gaming. It will be good for most tasks, I wouldn't only spent the budget on just the cpu. -

What do you use your pc for? 3600x is good for gaming. -
Well for the cpu and platform you are going with it does get pretty expensive. You should change your build to a amd one and you will save much more money for the same specs. As for the power supply these are called ratings and how well the power supply coverts AC power from the wall to DC power for your pc and how efficient it does it. The bronze, gold, and platinum ones are better and more efficient at different loads and when your pc draws more current. The basic 80 Plus rating means that the PSU is rated for at least 80% efficiency at 20% load, 50% load, and 100% load. The 80 Plus Bronze rating means that the PSU is rated for at least 82% efficiency at 20% load, 85% at 50% load, and 82% at 100% load. The 80 Plus Silver rating means that the PSU is rated for at least 85% efficiency at 20% load, 88% at 50% load, and 85% at 100% load. The 80 Plus Gold rating meas that the PSU is rated for at least 87% efficiency at 20% load, 90% at 50% load, and 87% at 100% load. The 80 Plus Platinum rating means that the PSU is rated for at least 90% efficiency at 20% load, 92% at 50% load, and 89% at 100% load.

New Gaming/ Streaming pc $3500 budget
tank234 replied to majorblindside's topic in New Builds and Planning
yes building a system like this without having a good audience is basically a waste -
well you have to get the exact same type of ram so that there will not be any issues and mismatching is not good and is just asking for trouble.

First pc build for gaming and streaming
tank234 replied to iPriest's topic in New Builds and Planning
for your cpu, if you don't plan on overclocking the be quiet shadow rock 3 is a good cooler. But since you don't have a set budget the x63 gives you the best performance. As for the gpu it does not need any extra cooling at all the triple fans that come with it are good already. -
How can I improve my PC performance on a budget.
