  1. It tried to attack you without you clicking on anything? I thought it wasn't possible. It's good to have an antivirus that protects you when you mess something up.
  2. I never saw an official version of 7zip on the win 10 store, only an unofficial one. It's weird, but anyway, thanks for all the help! I'll keep using 7zip
  3. I suspected it, I've used it on and off for a few years and never had a problem, I just wanted to be sure, better safe than sorry. Also, do you know why does it say distributed by microsoft on the top?
  4. I can't do it right now, but if you go to virustotal and upload the 7zip installer you can see the results (I know sometimes you can get false positives, but the distributed by microsoft seems weird).
  5. Thanks for the answer! I'm much more at ease with all the answers here, I understand now that for something to happen I need to do something int the page (do you have any recomendations on some of those videos to watch?)
  6. Hello! Today I downloaded 7zip from it's official page (https://www.7-zip.org/) because I needed to extract some files and that pc didn't had anything and decided to check (just to be safe) on virustotal, and one AV detected it as malware and also it says that it's distributed by Microsoft which seems weird. Is this normal? I've been downloading it from years from there and never encountered a problem. Thanks for the answers!
  7. Thanks for all the help! I'll get that one then.
  8. Thanks for the answer! I know, but there isn't much to choose from, I can get a generic one (I rather not get that) or a thermaltake litepower for a little less than the Seasonic.
  9. I have a floppy drive, but I don't mind losing it because all my games and stuff are on CDs. I'll check all the connections to see if they are standard when I get the chance. Do you have any recomendations for a PSU? Is the Seasonic S12III good for this system (in case I have all standard connections)?
  10. I'm just worried about it breaking and taking some component of the pc with it. Ok, I'll search for a PSU that have all that, and I think that mobo uses 20 pin. Thanks for the answer!
  11. Thanks for the answer! It seems that it's a legit page of a bussiness so I'm more at ease. I'l try to be more careful in the future and not ending up messing even more and writing something like "azon" and pressing enter (I hope I don't do it).
  12. I didn't even let the site load so luckly I didn't get the chance. Thanks both for checking! I'm more at ease now, I'll try to be more careful in the future. I wished I could check both answers as solved! I always have my antivirus up to date and I use an adblock since years, but I wanted to be extra sure.
  13. Thanks for the answer! But the psu is almost 20 years old and very generic (it's not the original, the original died, which I think it was also a generic one). I don't think it will work for much long, that's why I was searching a new one. I don't want it to explode or catch fire. EDIT: Thanks for the answer! It's an old generic PSU, just wanted to replace it before it died or created a problem.
  14. Thanks for the answer! The site was mazon.com (I missed the first A), I use an ad blocker and a third party antivirus. I wish I could be like that, I get so stressed out by miss clicking or typing all the time.
  15. Hello! I recently got a little nostalgic for the "good ol' days" of Windows 98 and was thinking of reviving my old Windows 98 pc, but it has a generic 20 year old PSU so I decided to see if I can get a new one. I don't want to spedn a lot of money, so will a Seasonic S12III or a Thermaltake BX1 be good enough? I know that they are very low on the tier list, but I don't want to spend a lot of dollars on a PSU (I'm not from the US, so my options are limited). Thanks for the answers!
