Samusky Hodder reacted to 5x5 in Why my cooler warm at top but cool at the bottom
Most likely the top side covers more of the hotspot so it gets more heat moved in that are. If temps are fine just ignore it

Samusky Hodder reacted to Void Master in Replacing PSU Fan
It's not recommended, one wrong move and u will end up electrocuted.
You might go unconscious or even die.....
I suggest you RMA it or send it to someone with the proper tools and protections to change the fan...

Samusky Hodder reacted to Dujith in 8GB RAM + 4GB RAM
You should be able to do that. It will however have little to no impact on performance beyond your SSD being less used for the pagefile.
What basis is there for this statement? its on of the dozens of myths about RAM
Heck all 20 of our laptops have 8+16 atm due to an upgrade

Having equal (pairs) of RAM sticks is more advised than what you want to do to prevent issues that may arise. Since they are the same frequency, I don't see an issue other than to try them out and see what you get 😉.

Samusky Hodder reacted to gloop in I am new, Please help.
Don’t listen to @Samusky Hodder
wattages:
3900x: 170w
2070super: 220w
rest of system: 100w
total: 490w
the 490w is under heavy load, equivalent to running 2 extreme stress tests at the same time.
Op, you’d be fine with something like a rm550x.

the case looks like it has good enough fans in it. As for the power supply, you could probably get away with it, but you could also get something like the Corsair RM 750W if you want the headroom (and it's fully modular, so ease of installation/cable management too)
edit: i'd trust @Samusky Hodder about the PSU more than me, you should probably upgrade it, though you don't necessarily need to spend as much as the one i recommended.

Samusky Hodder reacted to Kisai in Why my pc doesnt output video from the dvi
Did it suddenly do this?
Your monitor should look like the any but the one on the far right. If your cables don't look like the DVI-I or DVI-D, then the DVI or HDMI monitor will not work.
If you are using an integrated GPU on a AMD board, then you have to make sure you have installed the AMD chipset driver before installing the AMD GPU drivers. You may need to do this via safe mode, or go into safe mode, uninstall the gpu drivers so it boots windows with the "safe mode" SVGA driver , and install those from that mode.
Failing that, hit "windows update" without the gpu drivers installed and let windows try to find the right drivers.
