  1. So i just moved from a 900sq ft condo to a 3000 sq foot ranch style house. 2 floors. Each floor is 1200 sq feet. House is built in 1960 in NE USA. I just sold my Nest 3 pack wifi system because: i kept getting disconnected when moving around the house. I already disconnected 1 of the APs and had the router on 1 end, AP on the other end of the house. wifi coverage was good, just the disconnections and also no separate 2.4 network for smart devices. I'm looking for a strong single router solution that'll allow me to set up in the top corner room of the house. Thats where the main wifi connection enters the house. I'm capable of running a lan cable along the ceiling of the hallways, but i'm really trying not to do that for aesthetic reasons. I'm temporarily using a TP Link AX 1500 wifi router ($70, good for a 2br condo) and it is not providing any wifi signal to my floor below and across the house. Need suggestions.
  2. you can drop that wifi router and get a Nest Mesh Wifi system with Router + 1 Access Point. super easy to set up, costs $200. Nest Wifi wins most of the range and speed comparisons.
  3. With Verizon Fios 200/200 ISP + 4000 Sq Ft square 2 story house, which system would be better? IF Asus AX6100, I plan to have 1 router in the back of the house, 1st floor. 1 router at the front of the house, 2nd floor. If Nest Wifi 3 pack, I plan to have the 1 main router, 1st floor, 2 routers at the front and back of the house, 2nd floor, The Asus is $100 more expensive. ($380 vs $280). I like that the Asus has more ethernet ports to directly connect things at each end for slightly better speeds, but the 2 routers will still interact wirelessly. Also the Asus has Wifi 6. My computer's Wireless adapter is already an Asus Wifi 6 adapter. Our new phones will also be. I like that the Nest Wifi is simple and has great range. I have lots of other Nest products. https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/AiMesh-AX6100-WiFi-System-RT-AX92U-2-Pack/ or https://www.bestbuy.com/site/google-nest-wifi-ac2200-mesh-system-router-and-2-add-on-points-3-pack-snow/6382518.p?skuId=6382518
  4. Got lots of recommendations for a mesh network and Nest Mesh wifi won lots of reviews. (yes I know lots are sponsored.) For the guy who plays csgo, doesn't download a lot but streams his TV and NFL, and has 2 work from home people, relies on internet for my security cameras. How does the nest 3 pack wifi system sound? I ordered it for 280 + tax
  5. https://store.amplifi.com/products/amplifi-alien What are peoples thoughts on the Amplifi Alien for $380? Has wifi 6 + very very fast speeds. How's range on this thing standalone ?
  6. Can you give a noob who's never heard of / used MoCA set it up? I believe i have coaxial cables in some of the important rooms.
  7. The house was built in 1960 and renovated in 2017. No Ethernet ports installed in any room. Whats the general cost of running a cable in each room? House is only 2 floors, and main server room can be set up on the first floor (have a security closet where cameras for the new house are hooked up to)
  8. So I'm buying a new house and have fios 200/200 install scheduled for next week. I currebtly have a tplink AX1500 router ($70) for my 900 Sq ft apt. Would a new $250 wifi router be helpful or will not be bottlenecked by the wifi router? Thinking about the best Asus that I could get from amazon/microcenter/bestbuy/Costco, etc. How does the Nest Wifi system (I'd get the one with Wifi + 2 APs) compare to something like Ubiquiti Wifi? Which is easier to set up, Which will provide overall faster speeds? Me and Wife both rely on stable fast internet to work from home and we stream all news / movies / tv / music. We have about 30 devices connected at any time.
  9. is workpro related to office depot in some way? didn't know that
  10. I currently have a small office with 2-3 Workpro (model 9000) chairs. I need to contact them for warranty work for 1 of them but i can't seem to find their contact info or website. Can anyone link me?
  11. No its this one: https://www.xfxforce.com/gpus/amd-radeon-tm-rx-580-gts-black-edition-8gb-only-at-best-buy Hows my mV settings?
  12. CSGO is not GPU intensive, so it can easily run @ 1440p. It probably is running @ 100%. Fan speeds at maxed out and i still hit 80C in a 72F room. Lancool 2 Case with 2x front intake fans.
  13. i have this XFX RX580 GTS 8gb https://www.xfxforce.com/gpus/amd-radeon-tm-rx-580-gts-black-edition-8gb-only-at-best-buy I only play CSGO @ 1440p and within seconds i'm at 80-83C and the fans are set with a fan curve to be at 100% after 70 degrees. So its spinning super loud that i can hear it through my headphones (not noise isolating) and i can feel it in my case (my foot happens to rest against it) What are people doing to quiet down and cool their GPUs? Is this worth it as an aftermarket cooler: ARCTIC Accelero Xtreme IV https://www.microcenter.com/product/602223/arctic-cooling-accelero-xtreme-iv-high-end-graphics-card-cooler-with-backside-cooler-for-efficient-ram-and-vrm-cooling Or are there any cards under $150 worth upgrading to? I doubt it cuz i paid $160 for this card in 2019 and video card prices have gone up since then.
  14. the stock amd cooler sucks. but u don't need to make the jump to AIO... unless you really want to and were going to anyway. Any noctua with a 120mm fan or dual 120mm fans will get you within 90% of the best AIOs and beating some. The noctuas bring you within 95% if you account for the same noise levels. A great AIO is the Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer II 280mm or 360mm, both sold out now.
