Hey guys,
I built a PC last year and it worked absolutely fine for about 2 months, but since then I have had issues with my PC randomly restarting/turning itself off with a solid grey or white screen before going black, and lines forming across the screen; sometimes the flickering is different colours.
I systematically tried to troubleshoot the issue myself, multiple reinstalls of Windows & checked software/drivers isn't causing the issue. Then tried replacing the CPU (like for like), followed by the motherboard (from MSI B450-A Pro Max to Aourus B450), then RAM (from Ballistix to Crucial), then PSU for a higher wattage (just in case it was majorly spiking, from Corsair to EVGA), then changing the M.2 SDD (from WD green to blue), even the case (chances of a short were slim but I was running out of options). When I swapped out the GPU for my friends RX580 the PC has been stable.
Previous to this post, I have sent off my MSI RX570 for an RMA to the merchant that I purchased the item from and they couldn't replicate the fault. I am completely out of options now, since this GPU is quite obviously the route cause of the issues.
Do you guys have any suggestions how to get my PC stable, or is this a known issue?
