  • Biography
Human by birth, magician by design. I have been working in the entertainment industry for 25 years. I started running sound when I was 8 and trained in sound, broadcast camera operation, and television production. When I was 17 I picked up magic as a hobby and turned it into a job 3 years later. I was on a television show about magicians in Puerto Rico and worked for the production company on their sound team when I was off-camera. I've been spending the last 5 years writing the business plan to open a production company.

    Project Manager, entertainer & visionary

  1. I work with large excel files and use 4 monitors (multiple files open at the same time that all calculate large amounts of data and business projections). I am wanting to have 5 or 6 displays. If I use this video as a template, could I use two 3060s instead of the quadro cards to get more than 4 displays running off of my desktop?
  2. I totally get wanting to support LMG, and I'm all about that. I will push back on the production price a bit. If you order enough of a product the costs will come down. And I understand that molds are expensive, but they generally don't wear down so their ROI gets better over time (but that's the business planning and analyzing mindset in me). It does have some good and appealing features, but they aren't enough to justify paying out $70 for a screwdriver, in my opinion. Maybe if it came with more bits or was slightly less then it may appeal to me more. And yes, I can appreciate a quality tool, and I am willing to pay for quality because in some cases you get what you pay for, however I wouldn't feel comfortable paying that much for a tool without trying it first.
  3. First off, I love the design of the screwdriver along with it's features! I'm not that big of a fan of orange, but the orange on black and not overloading the screwdriver with orange is visually appealing. Secondly, what sets this screwdriver apart from regular ones? Is it all of the features that are incorporated in it? Besides having the logo on it, why should I buy one?
  4. Is there a way to build a hard drive expansion enclosure? I am considering buying a QNAP TR-004 (link at the bottom), but I would rather make my own if it's possible to do. If it is possible, Linus should make a video on it, or have Anthony do it. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/products/Hard-Drive-Enclosures/ci/8413/N/3673094694?filters=fct_brand_name%3Aqnap
  5. Ok. I uninstalled the drivers, shut down the computer, unplugged it, and reinstalled the drivers. I don't hear the sound anymore. However, when I have music playing, I hear a small pop (almost like static) every time I open a new window, click on a link, or move something to another screen. I only hear it when music is playing either from my system media player or youtube.
  6. Would getting a DAC solve this? I listen to music about 14 hours everyday when I'm working.
  7. I'll give that a try if I can't figure anything else out.
  8. Motherboard: ASRock B450M/AC GPU: AMD Radeon RX580 (and it is in the topmost slot)
  9. I'd have to look it up I'll get that back to you in just a few minutes
  10. The mouse was plugged into the back, but I also tried the front connection. The sounds are coming through my headphones. The volume from the system or my sound board has zero difference on it. I currently have them coming from my monitor, but I've tried every port, and I get the same result.
  11. I've head that too. I've worked on live sound before and we would just use a ground lift for voltage leaking. The only suggestion I've read about it is removing the ground from the computer, and I really don't want to do that. I've also tried finding ground lift adapters for power, but have not had any luck. I don't know how to detect voltage leaks without buying any testers. I've tried every cable run trick I could to solve this so it's not an impedance issue from what I can tell.
  12. It's integrated. I'd probably have to find an external sound card, because I don't have a lot of room inside. It has a dedicated GPU, and that blocks the other PCIe slot as far as I can tell.
  13. I just bought a new computer and I've been hearing whispy and popping sounds when I use the scroll wheel or when I key rapidly through an excel sheet. I have tried switching from wireless to usb mice, rerunning my audio cable, switching the cable to every audio out port on the computer and my monitors. I didn't have this problem on my old setup, and I don't know what else to try (and no, I'm not going back to my old setup). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  14. I didn't know that about SSD's. Thank you for that. I'm definitely looking into a RAID 1 array now. I don't feel comfortable using the cloud....just doesn't sit well with me.
  15. I'm currently using microcenter's custom pc builder page, and these are the components I have in the config right now: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6GHz 6 Core ASRock - B450 Fatal1ty Gaming K4 AMD AM4 ATX Motherboard G. Skill - Trident Z RGB 16GB Kit EVGA - 600 Watt 80 Plus Bronze ATX Semi-Modular Power Supply Gigabyte - Radeon RX 570 Dual-Fan 4GB GDDR5 What I'm not exactly sure about is the hard drives. I know SSD is the best option, and if I need to get a HD for the time being to cut down on the initial costs, I'm happy with that. I plan on getting a dock later on, so I'll switch the HD for a SSD and throw the other one in the dock. Is M.2 SSD necessary if I use a regular 2.5" SSD?
