Hi all, I'm in need of some help.
The other day I experienced a crash that I have never run into before. I was playing Minecraft when the screen went blank, displaying only a sort of greyish-blue screen with evenly spaced vertical (and maybe horizontal?) striping. At first I thought it might have been a cable or monitor issue since I wasn't exactly pushing my computer's limits with Minecraft, but it was not. I restarted my system, only to boot to a BIOS flash screen covered in a pattern of visual artifacts, then nothing but black after the windows loading screen. I rebooted again and went into the BIOS, still displaying a similar pattern of static visual artifacts, and still going to black after attempting to boot windows.
I believe this is a result of my GPU bricking, but I wanted to get some other more educated opinions on what exactly has gone wrong before I go buying new parts. And if I do need to replace my GPU, any thoughts on which cards would pair well with my system for ~$150 would be greatly appreciated.
