  1. My wifi card is not showing up on my computer and as it turns out not only is it not showing up in device manager but it also doesn't seem to be appearing in the bios PCIE slot info. In that category only one thing is showing up as listed and that's the gpu. However my new wifi card does not look to be broken since the card is emitting a green light. At first I thought the problem was that windows wasn't recognizing my card since I suddenly lost my wifi option under network settings and the wifi card wasn't registering onto the computer and the card did not show up under hardware connections and the device manager. I wondering if there was a way to get the card working/show up on the PC?
  2. Do you still remember how you fixed this problem? I'm having issues with my wifi card not registering on the PC as well as the disappearance of the wifi option completely. But my wifi card still has the functioning greenlight.
  3. Oh I'll try that. My previous wifi card had problems so I returned it cause I thought it might've been a problem with the card. But it seems my problem has to do with my pc or microsoft. Though I'm not sure if my PC will be able to fit the gpu if I switch the slots arond. Edit: Just checked and I would end up having to unplug many wires for my GPU to fit in the second slot. Thus I can not switch the GPU's slot sadly.
  4. my computer has no wifi option and my wifi card isn't registering at all on my week old gaming PC. The only internet option I have is ethernet. I've watched multpile YT videos on the subject and none of it worked. I've attempted to reset my network on the pc as well as reset the PC itself. I've used scan for hardware changes in device manager and nothing's worked. I disabled windows firewall to and that didn't solve it either. I've also used the command panel code netsh winsock reset and netcfg -d and that hasn't worked. I even switched wifi cards and that didn't solve the problem. I feel quite irritated and bummed out since I'm not able to play any video games with friends as well as play Cyberpunk 2077. Anyway I wondering if anyone could help me?
  5. The main wifi router in my house it wifi - 6. The main problem however is the fact that my computer won't give me the option to connect to any of the routers and the only adaptor option on it at the moment is ethernet.
  6. Built my PC a few days ago and I was able to set it up perfectly with everything functioning as it's supposed to. But today when I turned on my PC, I found that my wifi card was disconnected from the internet and that I could not connect to the wifi. When I checked the hardware connections area in settings everything correlating to the wifi card was "disconnected" . I tried taking out the wifi card and reinstalling the card and putting it back in but that didn't work at all. I then tried looking at youtube to help me but that didn't seem to do the trick at all either. At this point I'm debating on returning the card and getting a new one. I was checking to see if the internet had any suggestions before I do so? 7. Was planning on going with one of these. Do you happen to know which one would be better or is either one fine. https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Bluetooth-Ultra-Low-Archer-TX3000E/dp/B07ZV2CJL2/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=wifi+card&qid=1605557677&s=electronics&sr=1-3 TP-Link WiFi 6 AX3000 PCIe WiFi Card (Archer TX3000E), Up to 2400Mbps, Bluetooth 5.0, 802.11AX Dual Band Wireless Adapter with MU-MIMO,OFDMA,Ultra-Low Latency, Support
  8. Ok. Cool on the topic of PCle wifi cards do I have to worry about them being compatible to my PC or nah?
  9. I recently just finished building my first PC and as I finished installing windows and went to connect to the internet, I discovered that my computer has only the ethernet option which my home does not have and I prefer to connect to a router and I ended up looking online and it looks like I most likely need a wifi USB adaptor, wifi card or my own mini wifi router but I'm not exactly to sure. I was wondering if there was any reccommendations on what to get, since I just learned that not having one of these things is the most logical reason I can't connect to the wifi router and I don't know which option is the better of the three as well as which products are the best one's to buy. I'm also worried that if I do get the wifi card it won't fit in my PC too. My PC SPECS https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tTnQqp
  10. Yeah, the updating the BIOs compatibility issue has been my biggest worry since I don't really know how I would be able to solve that particular problem.
  11. Thanks, What would be a good Wattage on the PSU for this particular build? Would a 450w PSU be good or should I go with a 500w PSU?
  12. Thanks for the help, this build seems a bit more up my alley on costs and It seems that I don't have to really worry about potential updating the BIOs problems between the motherboard and the CPU
