  1. Yeah did that and it got restarted, the next time i brought it down even lower to 30hz and it still restarted. Don't think that's the problem.I'm back on my integrated gpu now.
  2. I think they gave me your card after 3 years as a replacement lmao. I've got the same card and the same problem, god i'm irritated with this brand. This happened right in the middle of the lockdown of corona so i'm stuck at home with no gpu for who knows how long.
  3. How is that possible tho? The moment the installation is complete it'll automatically upgrade to 144hz, i've tried this earlier.
  4. Have upscaled the resolution to 1080 and it's still working fine but there's no option to upgrade to 144hz in adapter settings. Guess that'll come up after i install nvidia drivers.
  5. On gpu right now, disabled updates and uninstalled nvidia drivers but didn't disconnect from the internet. It's working in 60hz and these settings. It's not turning off or anything. How do you want me to proceed?
  6. Actually one more thing, this whole thing started when someone told me to reinstall gpu drivers since i upgraded from 1070 to get some extra fps. When i did, this started. Since then i've reinstalled windows 2-3 times and also have reinstalled different gpu drivers from gaming to workstations and a different versions aswell to see if it was drivers fault, turns out it wasn't. But when i did format the windows i noticed this repeatedly, the gpu works fine until it automatically installs geforce experience and the moment it does and the screen shifts to 144hz the display problem restarts.
  7. No, i've plugged out gpu while using internal graphics. When i did use it earlier with gpu connected and internal graphics enabled,it used to show just Nvidia 1080 graphics card in device manager and nothing else.
  8. The display from gpu doesn't stay on long enough for me to boot into safe mode with gpu. It goes off like after 6-10 seconds when windows loads up as you can see in the first video.
  9. Nope, didn't work. Check out the second i tagged in the post. That noise is starting right after the displays goes off and i can't point out where it's coming from
  10. Actually, that's the last thing i tried but i did it from device manager in Safe Mode. Does it make any difference if it's done from BIOS? And no can't do either, the country is in lockdown due to corona.
  11. Motherboard- gigabyte b250m-ds3h PSU- Corsair 550w psu is working fine, that's why it's hard to locate the problem in the first place.
  12. Nothing seems off in the logs while i tested with the gpu.
  13. I've tried several solutions but none seems to be working. My display is turning off right after i log in to windows, like 5-10 seconds to be specific and after turning off it's making this high pitched noise that you can barely hear. I'm thinking it might be a gpu problem as the pc is working fine if i'm plugged into motherboard and that's how i'm using it right now but then again i just got this msi 1080 gpu from service center and it was working fine for 3 weeks. I've tried several fixes including reinstalling graphics drivers in safe mode, disabling integrated gpu in safe mode and several other common fixes but none worked. I'm attaching a video of this whole thing including a separate video of just the noise.
