In that case, you've basically hit a wall with troubleshooting. This would have to be an compatibility or hardware issue with the CPU itself.
You can view CPU compatibility here:
B85M-G - BIOS Release Version 0309 - https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/B85MG/HelpDesk_CPU/
H97M-E - BIOS Release Version 0333 - https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/h97me/HelpDesk_CPU/
Ok so I've tested the g3220, it does not work in the H97M-E, but when I try with no ram, I get beeps, this didn't happen while trying the 4440.
The g3220 works in the B85M-G, so I updated the bios to the latest version, for the 4440, and it did not work.
Not a great result. I have no clue if this H97M-E works, or whether my 4440 is dead.
Surely the g3220 should work in the H97M-E?

Well I've just ordered a g3220. So hopefully that will clear things up.
Thanks for the help.

Do you have another machine you can use to test that your power supply is fully functional?
It is a new psu. I also have a phanteks 1000w pro that I have tested on, which works with my ryzen system
So I've ruled out the psu.

The H97M-E should work out of the box, but the B85M-G requires version BIOS version 0501 to use the i5-4440.
You may want to purchase a BIOS buzzer. This issue is pretty difficult to diagnose without any debug options.
Hey.
I do have a buzzer. And it does not beep at all, so I read that it is not posting.
It just powers up.

Hey.
Mobo - B85M-G and H97M-E
Cpu - 4440
Psu aerocool 400w
4x 1666 ram
I'm building a budget pc.
I get no beeps and no display. It powers on.
What I've tried..
-reseating ram, individual sticks of ram.
-tried both mobos, exact same result.
-No ram, just cooler, 24pin and CPU power (same result)
all I can think of is that they both need a bios update to use the CPU.
any ideas?

Are you being serious about this?
Yeah. You want them?

Hey.
Got these games free with my gpu. But i don't play these, so someone can have them if they want?
Not sure how to redeem them, but we will work it out.
Was given a code, apparently you need to make an amdrewards account.Monster Hunter: World - Iceborne Master Edition PC
Resident Evil 3 PC

Very rarely, my screen flickers for a split second. It's a horizontal line with a bit of static and green from what i can gather.
And my audio makes a popping sound, this happens maybe once every other day.
It has never happened while playing games or in a stress test, just seems to be random while web browsing or doing nothing.
Any ideas?
Steel legend B450
Ryzen 3500X
Vega 64
phanteks revolt pro1000w
8 x 2 Crucial Ballistix
Win 10
I have the latest bios. Tried different video drivers.
It's hard to find the culprit due to it being so infrequent. Nonetheless, it really bothers me that my system has a slight issue.

Well your power supply should be good but if you are doing any OC you may be hitting a power limit
have you made sure all drivers are up to date
also try logging system events to see what causes your issues windows
past into start menu and enter this will bring up event viewer alternately just search in start event viewer
%windir%\system32\eventvwr.msc /s
I'm not doing any OC.
I didn't update to the latest video driver (because it was not recommended) I just have now, and same issue.
When i run heaven benchmark on ultra i have no problems.
What do you mean by logging events?
I looked at the events, had a few critical 'kernel power 41's

Hey.
Iv'e recently upgraded my gpu.
When i play a game for a few minutes my computer shuts down, and i don't know why.
Temps before shutdown:
cpu - 65c
gpu - 68c
PSU - aerocool project 7 750w
GPU - Strix vega 64 oc
CPU - Ryzen 5 3500x
RAM - 16gb ballistix 3200mhz
MOBO - steel legend B450
I like my gpu/cpu to stay cool even if the fans are loud.
And the computer seem to shut off when the fans start giving it some.
So my only guess would be that im asking too much of my psu, but i would have thought a 750 shouldn't have any problems.
psu is 62 on the 12v rail
I have 4 case fans.
and the gpu uses 3.
any ideas?
thanks

Hey.
I was having problems with my internet while using a pcie adapter, I tried changing all the power settings and followed many video tutorials shoing how to fix this, but I was unable.
So I purchased a usb adapter, which worked fine for like an our, I was getting my 100mbps, then it started messing up again like the pcie one did, went down to 1-2 mbps. So now I have purchased an ethernet
and managed to get it to the router. Same situation, I am getting 1-2mbps, sometimes down to 10kbps.
I just tested my brothers internet via the same site, he is plugged into the router in the same way in the port beneath mine. He is getting the 100mbps minimun.
Any ideas?
Update: I am currently resetting windows via recovery, and it's downloading windows from the cloud at 110mbps. How come that can get those speeds but I can't while web browsing, streaming or downloading?
