  1. Guys something strange i cant diagnose. A friends PC is freezing and then reboots sometimes it slows down and stuters before it freezes. We already tested the GPU with furmark and temps seem stable. CPU stress test seems ok also. We tried disabled XMP, windows memory test, did a windows repair, updated bios. CPU temps get to 60ºC - GPU i saw hotspot reach 86ºC max (RTX 2070 Super). We are going to test tonigh with memtest86 and leave it running during night and see in the morning if there is memory errors (i think its memory but cant say for sure). What would you guys do in this situation ? We haven't reinstalled Windows yet .. but it seems strange to be a software issue.
  2. @ColinLTT why instead of those power bricks you guys use the new seasonic connect and have a power supply mounted outside in the bottom in a separate box ?
  3. Hey guys thanks for your opinion. It's DDR3 i can go max to 1600Mhz and the price .... Can this CPU sustain the 120fps for some games with a better gpu?
  4. Hey guys, I have a problem on new games i'm not able to get consistent framerate on the titles like COD MW, BL3, BF V My PC specs atm are. - i7 4790K - 16Gb RAM 1333Mhz - GTX 970 I was wondering what can i upgrade to get more fps in these games? I sit above 60fps but not above 100 with all on low graphical settings (i dont really mind low graphics) i want framerate to go above 100fps to match my screen refresh rate. Would you guys tell me to upgrade to a new CPU or GPU? If CPU I was thinking a Ryzen 3800x (i also use this pc for development) + 32 Gb RAM + B450 Board. If GPU GTX 2070 Super Thanks
  5. I'm sorry to bump this topic. Can't seem to make them better tha this. Shouldn't the timings be equal to the JEDEC #5 of the Slot 3? I only set the memories to DDR3-1600 in the motherboard and unlinked timings.
  6. Hello everyone, Intro: I'm trying to get a bit of performance off my PC (i7 4790k, 16Gb of Ram, GTX 970). I use it mostly for games like Call Of Duty MW, Battlefield V and web development (no need for more performance). I'm considering the upgrade in near future maybe new Ryzen when they arrive this year or next ... also new graphic card. But while i wait i did a bit of OC to the i7 to a 4.6 Ghz(46 Ratio, 1.3v) trying to increment slowly until 4.8 i think it will be reasonable. GPU OC i just let it use 110% of Power didn't mess much with it. Problem: Now memory i know my Corsair DIMMS (1600 CL9) have XMP but my Kingston (1600 CL10) Memory don't. If i try to activate XMP it will fail to boot. They are running at 656Mhz because the corsair dimms can only go that far without XMP. Question: Can i Overclock them all to 800Mhz CL10 ? If so what settings should i alter? What timings should use? Motherboard is an MSI Z87-G43 Gaming Thank you all :D
