  1. Processors are not getting amazingly faster and to be honest, they don't really need to. They're not the bottleneck. The bottleneck for average day to day usage/user is the disk's I/O speed, not the CPU. Swap the CPU in your dad's PC and he won't notice it. Swap the HDD for SSD and he'll think he has got whole new PC . This is why everyone should have SSD in his PC.
  2. ATM I have Samsung SA550, which is 16:9 27", 1080p TN and I'm happy with it in terms of resolution. In fact I wouldn't be replacing it if the old Acer downstairs didn't die recently. 21:9 29" should be even tiny bit sharper, because of it having smaller height. So I don't worry about that. I would get 21:9 34" 1440P, but the cheapest one is LG 34UC87C, which goes for 790 €, which is almost the double. So it's way beyond my budget.
  3. Imho, the lack of reviews is casused byt it living in shadow of its bigger brother, the 34UC97, which even Linus strongly recomended. So if it's the same panel (only smaller), aside of it having some backlight bleeding, it scream quality. But I can't find the information to confirm this, the thought is based only on it being the same model number. As to VESA mount, in some regions, it is included in box, in some it isn't. Yet again, I cannot find the information about regions in which it is included.
  4. With christmas coming, I'm looking forward to treat myself with 29" monitor and came across two spec-wise very simular displays and can't realy decide which one to buy. So maybe someone here can help me? The two monitors (as topic title sugests) are ASUS PB298Q and LG 29UC97C-B. I can get ASUS for 406 € and LG for 436 €, so there's not much of a price diference. The problem is that I'm not realy able to find any review on LG, so I have no info as of posible backlight bleeding (as many times pointed out in ASUS reviews). ASUS has LG panel, but which one realy is better?
  5. The headphones look great, would appreciate pair of quality closed back headphones.
  6. The slow motion and selective focus are defenetly cool, but they've been done before, so my pick would be virtual shot.

  8. I have strong suspision, that eighter my MB or PSU is causing the wierd 2-3 times restart before start, after turning PC on with button . SO winning this CPU would leave me no excuse not to upgrade at last. Och and my OCZ Agility 3 passed away just few days ago, so this would also compensate the loss haha.
  9. I don't mind massive coolers, in fact I prefer them any day as long as they deliver desired quietness (yes, I'm talking about you Ninja 2 haha)
  10. My most favorite feature defenetly got to be the aluminium body and the build quality
