Why not go with an AMD options? I have been looking at the 6800 XT as my next purchase. Then I get a new card, with a warranty, and no concerns if the card was used for mining or abused in some sense. I have also been keeping an eye on Intel GPUs as a possible option. AMD drivers have been getting better and I just cant support Nvidia in its cash grab. Considering Nvidia tried screwing us with a 4080 that they changed to a 4070 Ti, the price gouging, bit memory bus that has been gimped, and Nvidia not willing to give us a bit more memory. While 12 GB is probably sufficient, AMD has been putting 16GB on relatively similar cards for over 2 years.
Full disclosure, I have been using Nvidia cards since 2011. Back then, I ordered a HD 6870, but even then it was $100 cheaper than a comparable performing Nvidia GTX 470. So nothing has really changed except the AMD drivers were flaky at best back then.
