  1. unless that 4GB one you are going to buy does the job, you should consider to give that bad boy an upgrade and get 2x8GB RAM sticks
  2. Most probably, yes it is, I can't be 100% sure though I don't know if you are on a really small budget or not, but maybe you should consider a 8GB RAM stick, it's around 35$ and I think that would solve the problem. If you really can't buy the 8GB one, you should atleast buy the 4GB one and in the future buy another one (if your motherboard has more than 2 RAM slots)
  3. Heyy I'm not really sure, I do know that you should get another 4GB RAM because the 570 doesn't work too well with anything lower than 8GB. It really must suck, good luck with that ;(
  4. Heyy You don't really need a 600W PSU, if you can find a 400W or a little higher cheaper than the one you got there, it will serve just fine
  5. Hey If your laptop is always plugged in, you should consider taking of the battery and only putting it back in whenever you need it. About the "low battery" notification, I'm not sure what could it be, maybe it's your battery going nuts? Anyways, what you can do is disable that notification, there's plenty of videos on youtube teaching you how (I'm pretty sure that if you take off the battery, the notification won't appear anymore, give it a try!) The black screen shutdown might be a CPU related issue, since your laptop is 6 years old and you are forcing your CPU to do those heavy tasks, it might turn off instantly because it can't hold everything. I know that this is easy to say, but maybe you should consider getting a new one, seems like your little buddy is saying goodbye ;( My advice is to start using spotify and discord on your phone, that way your CPU doesn't need to have as much work. Anyways, good luck and I hope your friend can atleast live some more months or years!
  6. I can only use 700€ on the components and the price of my components in total right now is around 680€ (I'm from Portugal and some of these are REALLY expensive) and the 3600 is 85€ more than the 1600 AF. I am upgrading in the future though, I already had the 3600 in mind for the next upgrade, I just need to save some more money haha
  7. Heyy I'm in the same situation as you are, I did find what looks to be a good monitor (23.6'') that I am also going to buy it for myself From where I'm from, this monitor is 190€ that is around 220$, if you want to check it out: Acer ED242QR 144hz (it's curved) There's also this ultra cheap 144hz monitor from LG, some people say it's good, others say it sucks. If you have some time to see some reviews about it I'll leave the name here: LG 24GL600F-B About curved monitors, I think that on small monitors, having a curved one doesn't make much of a difference. On bigger ones though, it might make a difference. It really depends on you, for example: I don't see any advantages to pay a few extra moey just to have a curved monitor, unless you find a really good deal. Anyways, good luck with your search and I hope you can find a nice monitor for you! ^^
  8. I'm building a new gaming pc, I already have all components thought but I still get really confused on something: Some websites say that the ryzen 5 1600 af maximum frequency is 2666 MHz, others say it's 3200 MHz and others say it's 3400 MHz. I was thinking on buying a G.Skill Ripjaws V (2x8 GB) 3600 MHz but after seeing what those websites say I'm not even sure if it's worth to buy it. I am thinking on upgrading my pc, but it's not for now, maybe a year or two years later. What should I do? Stick with this RAM or save some money and get a lower frequency one?
  9. Should I change it to a Corsair CX450 80+ Bronze? It's the same price so I wouldn't mind (even tough the be quiet one has gold efficiency)
  10. I'm building for the first time a gaming PC and my budget for it is around 700€ for the components, I'm going to start buying them on my birthday that is in 13 days and I wanted to make sure everything was perfect and adequate for the price I have. Is there anything that I can change in this build to make it better? Motherboard- MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX CPU- Ryzen 5 1600 AF GPU- MSI Geforce 1660 Super Gaming X RAM- Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO (8x2 GB) 3000 MHz SSD- Gigabyte 256 GB M.2 NVMe HDD- Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM PSU- Be Quiet! Pure Power 11 400W 80+ Gold Thank you!
  11. Yeah after a few research I've realised that it's thrash I'm from Portugal and we only have a few stores that actually sell components, so it doesn't have a big variety and it's really hard to find the PSU you guys reccommend haha I did find the Pure Power 11 (400w) in an online shop, I guess I'm going to buy that one then, it's 55€ so it's still under my budget. Just one question, I'm thinking on upgrading the CPU, not now but maybe in the future, will the Pure Power 11 400w be enough?
  12. I'm kind of a newbie on these things that's true and I do know that a good PSU costs good money but I just wanted a PSU that could run this build and also leave room for a few minor upgrades in the future I'm from Portugal
  13. for some reason, the Nox one still seems to be less expensive than those ones, the KeepQuiet ones are really expensive and the Corsair ones are around the same price, should I keep the nox one or just buy the Corsair?
  14. I am having trouble finding a PSU for my new build because I am on a budget and for some reason here in europe PSUs seem to be REALLY expensive. I found this PSU, It's the Nox Urano VX 650W 80+ Bronze, It seems to be around 45€ and taking into consideration that an EVGA 650W 80+ Bronze is around 70€ and I'm on a really bad budget (close to 700€), I would prefer that one. But, does it run this build? Cpu- Ryzen 5 1600 AF Gpu- MSI Geforce 1660 Super Gaming X Motherboard- MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX SSD- Crucial MX500 250 GB ( I also had trouble finding one fairly cheap, this one costs 50€ on amazon.de and was the cheapest that I found, if you guys know an SSD better than this one for the same price or a little higher, I would really appreciate it ) HDD- A random 1TB HDD, maybe 7200 RPM RAM- Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro (2x8 GB) 3000 MHz or maybe 3200 MHz Case- Still not sure, I'm trying to get the rest of the components ready to buy so I can think about the case (I still haven't bought anything). Thank you!
  15. No, I didn't. I don't have a philips screwdriver with me, so that's why I can't do that. I'll try to find one, though, thanks for the advice
  16. So I have this "old" laptop, it's an Asus ROG G551JW, I bought it like 2 years ago and for the first three months the boot times would be around 8-10 seconds (this is the part that irritates me the most) and everything was just lightning fast. I can't remember quite well what happened, but after those three months, my boot times skyrocketed to literally exactly 120 seconds, not 119, not 121, 120 seconds. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. For the first year after this happened, I really didn't mind since I only used the computer at home and I could just power up and do something else. This year is when it started making a difference because I'm using it for school, losing 2 minutes of a 45 minutes class is already a lot and during those 2 minutes all I can do is stare at the computer, so, I tried to fix it. I've done almost everything, I've formatted the computer, I've uninstalled and installed Windows, I've switched from Windows to Ubuntu and to Windows again, but, still nothing, those 120 seconds are still there. It was just recently that I realized that the SSD was gone, I had a 256GB SSD and now it only shows up my 1TB HDD. So, I have two problems now, I have a 120 second boot time and a missing SSD. At first I tought that I was getting those 120 seconds because windows was booting from my HDD, still, 120 seconds is A LOT for a 5400 RPM HDD. Some information I can give: While my laptop is trying to boot, the loading circle doesn't show up, the only thing that shows up is the ROG logo. The loading circle only appears in the last 5 seconds. I've tried to disable startup programs, the boot time got faster by 0.1 seconds Here's my boot time in task manager The information disk management gives me:
  17. I searched it up and I found the MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX that looks to be 40€ cheaper, should I buy that one or just stick with the regular one?
  18. No I really meant the H370, I didn't see any incompatibilties so that's why I asked (nevermind I was just being dumb thanks guys haha)
  19. No I really meant the H370, I didn't see any incompatibilties so that's why I asked
  20. I am starting to build a pc but I'm just not sure what's the difference between the Asus TUF H370-PRO GAMING and the Asus ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING. They have the same price and I wanted to know which one should I pick for this build: CPU- ryzen 5 1600 af GPU- MSI Geforce 1660 Super Gaming X RAM - Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO (2x8 GB) 3000 Mhz SSD- Still not sure, maybe 512 GB Thanks
  21. I have been thinking about building a desktop for years and I started to look for components this year: Motherboard - TUF H370-PRO GAMING GPU - MSI Geforce 1660 Super Gaming X CPU - Intel core I5-9400F RAM- Crucial Ballistik LT 8GB DDR4-3000 SSD- Still not sure, I was thinking about a 512GB If you could help me, I would be really happy Btw, I am open to changes, if you think I can change something in this build, please tell me, I'm still sort of a newbie on these things haha (I'm looking for a around 700/800€ build)
