TBH, with critical data I wouldn't bother doing it myself.
Have a look at the Synology DS1621+, it's Ryzen-based and far superior to anything your old server can provide.

They has proven itself quite reliable in the past and, well. you won't have to make sure everything stays perfect and in working condition as much as if you ran it yourself.

Though you might also want to take a look at @Den-Fi's DIY nas build if that's more your thing:

Well they seem to be 2.5 drive only, so not great for nas use normally.

Also is only a sas enclosure, so you still need a computer for hte network connection nas part.

Id personally skip it for a home nas.

Does it have to be in wall? Why not on wall. This is much better so you can properly aim the speakers.

You should definitely go with 5.1.4.

In reality, I just function best at 6 hours a night and have a healthy diet. Racing is very physical and requires peak fitness and endurance.

My guess is an MSI engineer tried to overclock an Intel 11th Gen engineering sample and the VRMs caught fire.

Got some time to play tonight after moving to a new case with better cooling. Managed a run of 7688 @ 4.4GHz and 1.375v. Temp stayed at 88c for the full run.

I stopped folding at home this week due to not getting enough work units. It was fun for a while, until you realize you can’t run headless machines like your are supposed to and have to babysit. I‘m disappointed that it hasn’t changed much in the last 7 years or so and still hasn’t accomplished much research wise (I don’t care about journals that were posted 5 years ago, show me something new).

I bought 4 2080 supers just for covid (I got motivated!) and there is nothing more annoying than watching them be idle for hours at a time. Start, pause, start, pause, start, pause, etc. Instead, I did something that actually makes a difference, picked up a couple 3D printers and materials and joined a group to distribute them.

I have 3 machines running, but waiting for a CPU to combine two of those as they have PCIE bottlenecks.

Same as everyone else: I've got 3 rigs running, but that's only netting me ~40 WU's per day.

I think another factor is that some WU's are bigger than others.  If you look at overall rankings ordered by total points, WUs are not very well sorted.  It's probably a case of WU's getting bigger over time, but I have nothing to base that on except my gut.

I'm finishing up a full motor rebuild on my R6 and replacing the stock wire harness and ECU with a race setup. Once it's done I'll get it off to dyno tune, I should be up to around 125 HP and 45 ft*lb.
I already have Öhlins 30mm forks and a Penske triple shock, aftermarket Brembo master cylinder, and a Graves full Ti exhaust.

We don't have official forum rules or anything like that yet, but as long as everyone is respectful of each other, and patient with the growing pains that we are going to experience (vBulletin 5 is VERY beta right now) we can make this into an AWESOME community forum.
