Like I must be fuckin stupid or something . I know that what I’m asking , has probably never happened to anyone before . But if I start a game and my headsets not plugged in , and I plug it in after I open the game . The sound just comes through my surround sound not headset . If I have the headset plugged in before I open the game I’m fine . If my headset unplugs in the middle of a game , and I plug it back in . Nothing . On apex people can’t even hear me when I’m talking , but my stream is picking up me and my voice .. I 100% don’t believe this is a real problem . It’s as fake as corna ps4 and Xbox ,one wireless headset dies and you just swap and keep going ... on pc , how do it do that ? Because I’m getting no such luck. And it’s becoming a real piss off when my cat decides to knock my headset out while I’m playing a game, and then have to restart the game in order to get my headset to work again . Fallout76 , the microphone aspect of it works , but no game sound . Apex , there’s sometime game sound and other teammates mic’s , but not mine . And the onlllllyyy way I’ve found of getting to just work again , without having to unplug and replug things in , the only way , was restarting the game . And I know that’s not what PC gamers do . It’s annoying as fuck for 1 and 2 pc gamers like red blue and green light you guys are eccentric and over the top . So if there’s something someone dosnt like , you guys have a solution always . So I know these problems I’m dealing with are bullshit and fake lol so how do I fix it ?

@SolarNova another update . Hate a problem I find it funny this time around and actually didnt piss me off . I had to perform open heart surgery on the cooler the top two fans fell and flipped upside down , and stopped the air from flowing downwards . So had to cut it up open , sticky tack those bitches reaaaaallll good and pop in back in and sow her up lol got it all done and seems to be flowing nice again .

@wkdpaul what version are you using to mine with your 290x , because that’s the card I’m trying to get working again . After getting the plugin installed it mined for a day then stopped , I didn’t have time to deal with it until now . And now it’s just failing every benchmark again . I completely wiped all gpu drivers and reinstalled only the needed ones . Tried again and still nothing . Just re read this thread and I’m maybe thinking it’s the version I’m using . I don’t understand this much at all . And like I said before it would be a lot more helpful if the program told me what error instead of just error .

That’s basically what I’m aiming for . The rooms going to be used as a “ server room” . One old dell server , and right now 2 old gaming computers , going to be adding a 3rd when I get another power supply. Running the pcs doing folding cause it seems interesting and from what I’ve read , potentially life saving . And bitcoin mining . The server is going to house a network of things I want to share between the different computers , and it will also be running bot scripts for some older games . Just so I can learn what I’m doing in that aspect . The amount of heat that everything is going to put off will be horrible lol so going to try and stop it before it’s a massive problem . I’m also trying to sell the gaming desktops , so I don’t want to cause irreversible damage to the hardware while having them going . I figured I could have them run until someone buys it ( I will disclose that I mined on it , and the price reflects that ) and then whatever I make mining is just profit at that point . Trying to establish a system where I can continue to buy and sell computers lol I like buying the parts , putting it together , fighting with proper configs and shit , and then selling it as a complete and finished computer normally cheaper then what other people in My area are asking . Whole like gig is gunna be called trailer park computers lol gunna attempt to start a wave of people being like oh hey I don’t need 1000$ in rgb to game

Ouhkay I think I understand now . Hopefully lol . The room is a spare room so I’m never in there anyway so the room temps don’t really matter that much . I’ve also got the window open i there so the cold air goes outside . Should I close it and try and have the dew point be lower ?

Right now , middle of the day the room is sitting at 24 Celsius and 56 humidity. With the ac running it gets down to 22 . I also have a window fan blowing air outside as an extra vent/exhaust thingy . With that , I don’t want to let the inside of the computer get lower then 22? With the components running they get up to 140 , but with the ac going , they only get up to 120 . After having it run for like 10 mins as a test , the case of the computer was cold to the touch . Is that bad or good ?

Just some questions about my questionable cooling set up . Humidity? What is a safe range I can have both pcs running24/7 with the ac also going . I have temp and humidity monitors inside the computers , and they connect to an external thingamajig so I can monitor them from my bedroom , 24/7 monitoring lol . But like what is too much humidity, what will ruin the hardware ? also is there Anything I can do to improve my set up ? It’s completely air tight . There’s plenty exhaust for the air to actually flow . There’s the fans I put all through out the “duct” to help get the cold air down and where it needs to go faster .

It dosnt have to be perfect , hell it dosnt even have to be 10fps just as long as it works . Team view is what I was originally thinking but I didn’t know if I could stream that somehow . @GenericFanboy

One of my best friends has just passed away, and I want to help everyone else sorta come to terms with it and remember him and stuff like that . One of the things I want to do is a charity live stream because I’m a wannabe streamer. That’s one of the only things I can think of . We all sit around and just talked about the memories with him , and if his brother wants to show pictures or videos , how do I pass off the display of the stream to him ? And how dose he pass it back ? And say things somehow die down and get boring and there’s only a few guest left on stream , and someone starts gaming , how do I show their gameplay ? While the rest of us talk overtop that’s gameplay ? also off topic on the display aspect but how do I have the charity connected directly to the stream ? So that way I don’t handle any of the money coming through , and it goes straight to the charity ? Or even the brothers ? I have to talk to the brothers still and get all details finalized . But I would like to be able to atleast somewhat cover the tech side before I give him a such a big idea when things are so recent .

If crossfire is 100% percent out for the ocz 600w power supply I already have , then I can just use a single gtx 580 its asus so it’s red and black and fits the build . So like that’s not really a concern . I just need freaking 6+2 to plug Into the gpu . 2 of them . The ocz I already have is semi modular so those cables Jonny post work . They are just 100 bucks for a fucking cable lol no thank you , I’ll just buy an entirely new power supply at that point . But trying to save myself and not have to do that . Im in Canada, I live in Canada , so no matter what , I’m paying the difference, and the difference is what makes these things too expensive. Our dollor is complete and udder shit . So if I’m spending 20 of them I better be getting 2 cords ffs lol I will purposely take what you guys gave me and retype things in and see what I can find for a better deal , but either shit just dosnt show up for me , cause I’m on mobile most of the time , or either I can’t find a better deal and everything is just more expensive.

Legit can’t even tell you the brand because my aunt dug it out of her basement . There is no brand marking anywhere. So just getting the driver the easy way is out the window . It’s a webcam from 2000, it’s just so I can video call my son but I would like it to atleast work

I’m really starting to feel like Linus has a spy somewhere in my fuckin house the streaming set up video he posted the other day is 100% my set up . iPhone and coat hanger , and a fifine red mic the iPhone is my old phone so it just specifically my “webcam” But I would definitely recommend this for anyone who has a spare phone lying around or even just their main phone , but like suggested In the video , switching to something else ASAP would be ideal as to it screw up the battery on your main phone the fifine mic is honestly not that bad , the cute little stand that is comes with is cute an all , but it has the ability to be attached to a full desk mounted arm for convenience sake lol the audio quality isn’t all that bad but it’s not the best either lol I don’t know a whole lot about audio so I wouldn’t really be able to give a good review. Because my little brain tactics this is perfect for me and anyone else who dosnt want a lot of hassle . The iPhone makes it a lot easier I haven’t tried android personally but lol me personally I just leave the webcam phones cord plugged in 24/7 makes things a lot easier but my cat just ate my long ass cord so I’ve got to get another lol and keeping it plugged into makes things a lot easier when starting your stream . I just have to tell obs this is the cam where using today and then I’m off the the races.

@Spotty I thought OCZ was still alive and kicking , that’s another thing that’s my fault for assuming . I also don’t have a multimeter , and didn’t realize in order to check the pin out I needed the psu on . I thought I could just tell by the shape of the little connector thingys , and colour of cords . Again I assumed and made an ass out of me and me again and wouldn’t it still be atleast worth it run both cards together , even if the person isnt playing the latest games , and would also be doing work on the computer as well . I traded a broken iPad for the both of the cards and the bridge , so I figured mys we’ll use them together . There’s got to be some performance over just using one card right ?

Don’t mean to be rude , I just didn’t understand what you were asking , and what I thought you were asking wasn’t important I thought . The OCZ is what I have on hand to work worth and could just get replacement or something for it , if not then I will buy a new power supply if I have to . Ouhkay I think your completely missing what I’m asking @jonnyGURU . I don’t need to do the paper clip test , and check if the power supply works . I need physical cords to plug into this freaking ports . Replacement cords . I don’t know how many different ways I can say it . Why would I need to replace the 24pin ? That’s has almost nothing to do with what I’m asking. The cables that plug into the power supply , so I can then plug 6+2 into a graphics card . You know ? @GoldenLag not us , canadian. And shipping is just fucked right now , so I’m buying second hand mostly . And no one has anything for sale . There’s a 350W for sale near me . I tried asking about just a cheep psu that I could use , gave my use case ( 2 graphics cards in SLI ) , no one gave me an answer . So I said Ouhkay this is what I’ve got one hand , but it’s missing the cord that plugs into the gpu , where can I get a replacement cord ? Still not an answer , so Ouhkay , the conclusion I’ve reached is I’m just going to buy a fucking splitter and call it a day.

I’m only trying to spend like 70 bucks . and not trying to sound like a dick but I don’t know I literally just said that lol I don’t know what they look like , cause I don’t have them ? So I sent you a picture of what I do have and what I do know . And am hoping for some help from there sorta thing . All I know is there’s 4 extra ports on the power supply , and those 4 ports are in the picture . The power supply is the computer and the computer is in a hard to access area , I don’t want to pull it out Until I have the stuff to be able to work on it. So instead of struggling to pull the computer out and fight to get a picture with lighting , I took one off google . And all the keywords that I’m using to search , arnt getting me the results I want . Those results being a replacement cord , or atleast knowledge as to what the replacement cord should be .
