    def. exhaust.
Otherwise you're pulling in dust. Also heat rises, in a system with chaotic airflow- its arguable to what degree but still it does rise lol- exhaust.

I have almost this exact case. I put a slim 92mm in the front spot- a cheap one from amazon ID cool or something, its the only one that fit without messing with the front panel. I put 2 120 mm Noctua NF-A12x15 fans in the top- the front one as an exhaust to utilize the holes in the case and the back one I just put facing downward blowing across the motherboard. I replaced the exhaust- frostblade something with a Noctua NF-A9. I also replaced the stock CPU cooler with a Noctua NH-D9L- blowing in line with the exhaust. These few things have all but solved the overheating issues, my cpu now idles around 29c and GPU at 34c (RTX 3050)

Other upgrades I did were adding a 4 terabyte Western Digital Black M.2 Nvme drive, 8tb Western Digital Blue harddrive and replaced the RAM with a 32 gig Corsair Vengeance LPX kit. Also I added a small screen to monitor temps- highly recommend! I hope this helps! The case is poorly designed though and there is only soo much you can do.

Look at AF, SP, lifespan and bearings. Make sure the fan has both AF and SP because of the barriers, but you don't need high SP. Avoid sleeve, rifle and Hydro bearings, and any others with a lifespan that is relatively short, or if the lifespan isn't great and is shown with a low temperature.

This is a recurring issue for me with this game (the excessive darkness). Sometimes it can happen every 10 minutes, other times it'll go longer.

The best workaround I've found is to use the console command to toggle global illumination. I don't have the precise command handy, but it's something like "r.globalilluminationmethod" (that's definitely not quite right)

If you start typing it in the console, you should see it. Make it  (using the correct full setting name) "globalillumination 0", then immediately "globalillumination 1", and it should fix it.

The nice thing is these commands will stay in your console history, so once you've typed it once, it's super easy to toggle in the future. Still an annoying glitch though.

Edit: Think I found it. It should be:

    r.DynamicGlobalIlluminationMethod 0
    r.DynamicGlobalIlluminationMethod 1

I believe this toggles Lumen off and then back on.

storm05 reacted to starsmine in Is 650W enough for RTX 4070?
There isnt a single single GPU/CPU build that requires more then an 850W. Even a 4090 and 13900k are comfortable on an 850W.

I agree with get one you can expand into, but OP is already doing that with a high quality 650W PSU that wont even sweet with 320W (7900xt) GPUs and 220W CPUs. (R9 7950x)

Added headroom does not really do much for a build as it just makes the PSU more inefficient and costs more upfront (efficiency curves fall off a cliff under 10%, aka much of the life your computer is on, so instead of pulling 70W from the wall to provide 60W to the PC, your 1KW one for OP would be pulling 80W from the wall).

storm05 reacted to DeerDK in Is 650W enough for RTX 4070?
But if OP's existing psu is sufficient, there is no need for that upgrade yet. OP can wait and get one later, and then "futureproof" even further.

OP already has the headroom from last upgrade, so throwing that away and spending money to get headroom for the next potential upgrade invalidates the whole buy with headroom for more upgrade cycles argument, as you basically tell OP to cut that (existing) headroom period short

Youre fine, you have a rtx 3070 that is being bottlenecked by your 4790K. No wonder its cores are under full stress.

Not true at all. For instance I see the far superior RX 6700 XT as low as $579 on au.pcpartpicker.com while you picked out a $639 3060 Ti. Don't be a sucker, Nvidia crapped all over PC gamers by gimping their cards with 8GB so people who bought them would have to upgrade again quicker. Even the 10GB on the RTX 3080 was ridiculous for the price.

I don't understand brand allegiance to Nvidia at all right now. It made sense in say 2015 when their DirectX 11 drivers had way less overhead than AMD's DX11 drivers so that their cards performed better when you were cpu bound and especially when you were using a low end cpu. But now that has been flipped too and these days AMD's DirectX 12 driver overhead is a lot lower than Nvidia's leading AMD to perform better when cpu bound. Not trying to sing the praises of AMD or anything, they're an evil corporation just like Nvidia is, but with the current product lines they're way better value than Nvidia.

Look how gross the 3060 Ti performance is here in Hogwarts at 1440p

The reddit post describes what is going on, and disabling fast startup should cause no issues. Apparently it isn't really needed anymore due to SSDs.

Don't use rubber, it will fall apart with age.  See if you can find a Nylon Washer that will fit instead.  That would be a lot more reliable than rubber will be.
