980ti is around 1/4 better then the rx 590 so go with the 980ti or save up for something better.

Nope it didn't work but I think it fixed it a little as in it seems faster when logging in. There is the same weird screen tear thing when I log in but its like a weird overlay and goes away when i put something over it or press show desktop. It's going away faster it usually is frozen for a bit.

Yes they usually dont have the best drivers
Try ddu and install the drivers from AMD
I will try that now I just wanna make sure everything else I'm doing is done.

I just love small builds. I am travelling now and then and i bought my m-itx motherboard with that in mind. I have seen that there are multiple small cases that supports 240mm rads, so i should probably go for those i guess... In Win A1 is cool but it doesnt support 240mm sadly.
Okay awesome just get a case with 240mm radiator support and an equal amount of airflow in and out possibly a little more in. Either get the kraken x52 which will probably get you around 40-50c temps or evga clc 240 which will get around 30-40c

How about turning around my top fans/turning around my AIO radiator so the pressure might improve?
Just the top fans should do also what I said before you might need a 240mm radiator so is there any reason you need your case small?

Use top intake so your gpu fans dont fight for the air with top fans. Could also look into putting that aio to roof intake so you get fresh air for it.
I completely forgot that it seemed like too much exhaust. You always want a little bit of positive pressure.

It randomly started working again, I have no idea why, this is so bizarre.
I agree, going to have the ticket open to see if I can get it replaced
Ok awesome hope it stays fine or you get a new one.

Yeah 100%, maby light streaming here and there.
light streaming would be good with the RTX series. You could get as high as you want like what MartinKweh said.

Do you mean from Amd website or laptop manufacturers website?? (Not sure what brand is it).
You can try DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and reinstall drivers after that. From the laptop manufacturer HP.

If there are problems like this happening for no reason then if you can try get them to replace it that would be the best option but if they can't replace it and you want to keep the headset try get someone to fix it.

Not too concerned with the cooling, unless it's borderline unusable I'm fine with it. I'm mainly just worried about the driver issues but it seems those have been addressed, thank you everyone for the advice.
No problem hope you make a choice that makes you satisfied.

That's always a risk with any software. I've had Nvidia drivers corrupt my OS due to how GFE handles the update pipeline. Do you see me telling people to avoid Nvidia? Drivers are currently stable and the it's, ands, and buts are pointless since nobody can predict the future
Ok. sorry for thinking the cheaper one was okay. Edit: Also it corrupted your OS okay but AMD's driver affected everyone with it.

How do you undo over a thousand changes and fixes by accident? You don't, the last few driver updates have been done. No need to worry the OP who wants the most for his money. A 2060 non S would be a 15% performance reduction for more money
"How do you undo over a thousand changes and fixes by accident?" When people add new things it can lead to problems if they don't 100% make sure it works. I'm not saying someone is going to accidentally remove something important but add something incomplete.

You were spreading wrong (outdated) information and scaring him into a slower and hotter card
I wasn't scaring him and since it happened with AMD they could accidentally make another mistake with the drivers. I was warning him about it and that it happened not saying it's happening now so it isn't outdated.

It's literally safe. Plenty of users, even on the forum, are running RX 5700 cards with no issues.
I know I understand I was just suggesting.

The recent driver overhaul also addressed many of the issues people had and currently drivers are rather stable
I know but I would rather be safe then sorry.

2060 KO definitely especially after AMD had driver problems and they're close in performance. There is a 2060 KO on evga for a really good price.

Yeah, one person outright said I should just invest in a new GPU and another headset like the Rift-S or even the valve index instead of bending over backwards to try and make my frankenquest work on PC, and I'm starting to consider it
Yeah. Here is my thoughts on the new list, motherboard you have is fine shouldn't need to change, case can change if you want but a 850w power supply is too much probably would be fine with 650w gold certified and once you do get to high watts it's better to get gold+ instead of bronze. I have recently been looking into rift s vs valve index and have seen more positive stuff with the valve index but if you don't want to spend too much just get the rift s or save up money. I would get valve index unless they make a better headset.

I use an oculus quest connected to my PC by oculus link using a USB-C cord. I assume the 570 is the problem because SteamVR performance test says it is. I don't get motion sickness from playing VR on the regular quest, but I do whenever I try to connect it to my PC.
There is a problem with the oculus quest and linking it to the pc to play the pc games it does have a weird delay so playing on a normal pc vr headset is better.

Were you in game? Also usually that shouldn't happen my friend had a similar problem but with CPU so I am unsure.
Any good uk component websites?

no problems hope it's okay or I could try to go cheaper and still just as good.
