  1. Could I upgrade the display on a MSI g63 thin, maybe a higher refresh rate? I can replace a laptop screen, as I have done before, I was wondering if it was compatible.
  2. I would keep the 500gb ssd and add the 2tb ssd and use the 1tb in another build. 500 GB for the boot drive. This would make it more even across all your computers.
  3. For Christmas, my mom got me an LTT stealth hoodie pro and told me about it after Christmas (it couldn't come in time) I looked up the quality on the LTT forums and a lot of people were hating on it. I heard things such as it is just a shill for capital gains and a scam that Linus does on his fans. I was initially worried that it would be a dropshipped product painted as a high-quality hoodie. For context, I own many hoodies because I like pockets in front and wear them everywhere. And I would have to say that the hoodie is the best quality I have ever seen. So I ask again why where there are so many negative comments on the product in this forum?
  4. From what I think the issue is that they could have shipped you a Gen 3 instead of the Gen 4. Since that is really hard to verify the difference I recommend looking at any markings on the cable that could give you a clue. I also recommend buying another cable from a store with a return policy and see if this cable clears the errors if not return it. the link you shown only says gen 3 speeds.
  5. I would also like to hide all internet traffic from them because its kinda creepy.
  6. So I moved to a new house, which also means I got a new internet service called Spectrum. This new internet service does not allow peer-to-peer downloading or using the Tor network. how do I hide this from my internet service? I don't actually use them for any nefarious reasons just to do simple stuff like download Linux and view websites such as WikiLeaks and so on. They threaten to shut down my internet service if I continue. How do I combat this? I started using a bridge for Tor which solved the Tor problem.
  7. Right around the time Linus and Luke decided to take on the Linux challenge i decided to follow along with them by installing Linux on my computer and try to do the challenge as well and ultimately changed back to windows. I had a lot of problems one being my laptop uses a special gpu where it is a 1650 max q and it said it found the right drivers but never used the GPU and only ran the integrated graphics. I struggled for a while in the terminal and never found out the problem and that was the straw that broke the camels back. My distro was Zorin os and i got to say i loved it. The OS gave a windows feel that was recognizable and was much better then the previous time i tried Linux which were Ubuntu and Kali Linux. My final thoughts on Linux Pros: Great focus on privacy Open source community means you will receive a lot of helpful advice Linux is very responsive especially for older computers Cons: Some of the community is toxic and sometimes has a pompous attitude over new users Hard for new users While the community is making great progress on Linux gaming still poses a problem
  8. yes i did. Do you have any recommendations for mice under 50 dollars
  9. it would probably be best for me to replace it but i do have to mention that i would uninstall it from device manager and then unplug it and replug it back in and it would work for a few minutes. Also the problem does happen at random when i boot my pc. meaning that sometimes when i boot my pc it acts normal so i was wondering if it was a software issue
  10. I never found out the problem but it did work when i bought a new mobo and cpu as the mobo was used before hand which was probably the source
