My pc internet like 10mbs download and upload but if i set my laptop right next to my pc and do a speed test its 400mbs? I've tried everything I could think of. I've reinstalled drivers, tried booting up in safe mode, tried using an ethernet cable, I've made sure my stuff is 5g compatible for the most part. I'm really confused on why this is happening. It would mean alot of someone could help me fix this. Im so close to just selling my pc.

Well thanks for all the help, I just ended up formatting my hard drive and buying windows again for like $140 ... welp there goes my new ti bars that I was going to buy.

Ok so if I format the drive then are you sure that I’m not going to have to buy windows again. Bc as of rn I don’t have My windows product key written down and idk if my computer will even let me look it up through command prompt (I’m sure it will let me tho) and Idk if I will be able to activate it again. Like I said yesterday last time I had a windows issue, it was when I upgraded my cpu and motherboard and it ended up deactivating windows due to a hardware change and it took all day finding a Microsoft support person that spoke good enough English that I could understand them and they could understand me enough to understand my problem and reactivate windows for me. So what I’m trying to say is, is that my windows as of right now is activated by Microsoft tech support and not me and I do not have the information to activate it myself. So if I format my hardrive (which has windows on it) will it automatically activate it and put in my windows product key? I will obviously attempt to get my product key for my windows 10 home written down before I do any formatting just incase it doesn’t automatically put that in when I reinstall windows after the format, but if it doesn’t reactivate windows for me then I’m not sure if Microsoft support will reactivate it for me because this issue might not be as understandable as something as simple as a motherboard upgrade. I just need to be 100% sure that I’m not going to be screwed after the format. <content removed by staff> if I want to buy something then I give my mom the money and she orders it for me, so if I have to end up buying a fresh copy of windows (which is the last thing I want to do) then it probably won’t be a cheap’o one. Because my mom doesn’t order off of any sketchy websites or anything, like she won’t even order off of eBay because she has been scammed on there before. Soooo yea, i need to be sure that formatting won’t make me have to buy windows again.

Nah I bought it like 3 years ago and since then I have upgraded every part except for the psu and the hard drive

Ok just to make sure. I boot to the flash drive, then I go to install windows, then custom installation, and then I select the drive that says windows and click format.

No I can’t get the windows key bc I can’t open setting and stuff and even if I do get it through command prompt, I can’t activate it again bc of what I said earlier, I originally bought my computer from bestbuy and it didn’t come with activation info so once it gets inactived then I’m screwed

Yea I can boot to the MSI CLICK 5 bios or whatever it’s called by pressing f11

I have a rtx 2060 super, i5-9400f, 16gb ddr4 ram, 1tb hhd, idk the power supply, windows 10. ok so idk the issue but my windows recovery environment is gone, when I boot up I get this svhost pop up thing. And when I sign in it doesn’t let me open start or settings or control panel or anything like that, and when I do shift+ restart it doesn’t have the reset option and it won’t let me reinstall windows by using a flash drive and opening file explorer and double clicking the one things that lets you reinstall windows bc it just cancels the install after 26%. It’s really confusing and I have tried everything I can think of to fix it and I have l have used lots of YouTube videos and nothings helping.

I dont have the cd key bc I originally got my computer from Best Buy and when I got a new cpu and motherboard I called windows support and they re activated it for me bc the info for the activation and stuff didn’t come with my computer

Well it’s kinda hard to do that when my computer won’t let me go into settings

I can’t activate it again so unless it automatically does that...

But if I format and reinstall with installation media tool then would it keep my windows ID and activation?

So format my hhd with windows media tool and then install windows?

Idk how to explain it other than my computer is fucked. It won’t let me reset it in any way, it won’t let me open setting or control panel and stuff like that and somehow my computer managed to delete its recovery environment. And it won’t let me reinstall windows
