Due to coronavirus I've been force to online clases via Skype, and i have noticed that every time that i am into a call my laptop heats up very quickly and the fan spins like crazy, and when i check the task manager Skype uses up to 60% of the CPU. Skype is the only program that i have this issue with, my laptop always runs AutCAD, Revit, Matlab, etc and other programs that should be more resource-intensive very smoothly. I have a pretty decent laptop, 12Gb of ram an Intel core i5-1035G1 (quad-core up to 3,60GHz), i don't think specs could be an issue. i want to know if its a normal issue and if there is a way to fix it or at least improve it.

I always plug my laptop whenever i can, because i was told a long time ago that that was better for my battery's lifespan, but recently i was wondering: is that the case? What you think?
