  1. Hi guys, I have an ITX pc that I have connected to a tv in a separate room with a 10m HDMI cable. I'm looking for a way to have a dock in the lounge room with HDMI out and at least one USB connection by only running one wire, as I have a wireless keyboard & mouse but the pc is so far away it has connection and latency issues. I'm wondering if theres anyway to utilise thunderbolt with a dock in the lounge, by injecting display/usb from my PC? Alternatively I'm considering new Logitech Lightspeed peripherals, but I'm not sure if that would also have issues in a different room. Thanks in advance!
  2. Specs:

Ryzen 3600X, ROG Strix B450-I Gaming, MSI 2070 Super Ventus OC GP, Be Quiet! Pure Rock 4, Be Quiet! Pure Power 600W, CoolerMaster MasterBox Q500L, 2x 8GB Corsair LPX Vengeance 3200, 1TB Samsung 970 Evo plus M2, 1TB Samsung 860 Qvo, 1.5GB of WD HDDs

  3. Everything finally arrived and is working beautifully. Tried to make it look clean and I think it's pretty good. Only downside was the red and yellow power supply (which I hid mostly with a velcro cable organiser and cable ties). Upgraded the case (Cooler Master Masterbox Q500L) , motherboard (MSI H310M Pro-M2 Plus) and ram (2x 8GB Corsair Low Profile DDR4 3200), and added some Artic F12 case fans for good measure. Planning on replacing 1060 with 2070S or perhaps 5700XT.
  4. Yes I plan on upgrading but probably to a ryzen at this point (cooler supports AMD sockets as well). That would mean a new motherboard swap which annoys me, but I dont really have the $$ to get a new CPU as well. I'd prefer to upgrade the GPU before that, and I'd prefer to get components that wont need another upgrade in a year or twos time (2070/2070S and Ryzen 3900)
  5. Yeah, the OEM board has a weird front IO extension built onto the right side of the board so I couldn't reuse it. Also, forgot to mention the reason I'm doing all this is because I bought a huge air cooler that didnt fit in the case.
  6. Hey guys, I'm planning on transplanting parts from my prebuilt pc (CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage) into a custom pc case with a new motherboard and power supply. I was wondering what issues I might encounter while doing so? Not sure about Windows being transferred to a new mobo (and on an OEM m.2 drive), and from what I've learned from LTT, the RAM could have issues too? Right now the new components are still being delivered. This is my first 'kind of custom' PC, but I feel mildly confident after learning from Linus' many tribulations. I made sure the new motherboard was compatible with my 8th gen Intel, and that it had an m.2 slot for my boot drive. Still going to be a relatively cheap PC, but I plan on making it look decent with cablemod extensions. Hardware specs: Any help and advice is greatly appreciated!
