I'd probably not bother with the CPU. You can pull the GPU if you still have the packing box for it, otherwise it'll probably just get damaged.

Usually the primary rule for air travel is "buy an extra seat for extremely valuable equipment, and take everything in carryon" of which a seat might cost as much as the computer in some cases. Only check luggage that you can afford to replace.

Basically as others said, you want to take your data, on the SSD, and if you just swap a new computers SSD with the SSD you have, if it has the same CPU you can just pick up where you left off with most software not needing to be reauthorized.

If you're willing to spend the money to ship it, I'd evaluate how much you're paying to ship it versus how much it costs to buy it new, because generally people who travel frequently have to stick to mid-tier thicker laptops due to how much it costs, but also because ultrabook designs are easily damaged from handling at airports.

Like, electronics don't travel well at the best of times, even when things are sent commercially on pallets, they are often overpackaged and wrapped so they don't move and can withstand another pallet being placed on top. A single computer is likely to be damaged, even if well packaged simply from how it will be handled by the logistics company, FEDEX/UPS/DHL/etc literately drop stuff from planes which is typically an 8 ft drop.

I've seen computers packaged in wood crates, end up with inch-deep bends in the chassis from these drops. Hence, reiterate, avoid shipping the whole desktop.

If this is an option, do that. The 14900K is impossible to cool, and you want to have as much cooling as you can.

    It's probably OK.

Z790 Aorus Elite X AX is likely the best bet, it's not too expensive and it's built pretty well.

It might be worth considering going AMD for this system though, the 7950X is about the same multi core performance but you can use much cheaper motherboards, use less cooling (280mm is fine), and not have to deal with possible scheduling issues.

I was looking for a GPU around market price in a buy/sell group on FB in my country, or but slightly higher. And this one person offered me to sell a RTX3060Ti for a slightly higher price than the market price last sunday. I paid by bank transfer. However, upon paying him the money, I didn’t receive the product even now.

There were other victims who got conned in the Facebook group. I was thinking about demanding a refund, but the chance is only 50% as people got blocked by the scammers, or even threatened with criminal intimidation or legal action. One victim pointed out that even if you get the refund, the money may be laundered or stolen.

Should I ask a refund from him and risk receiving threats or stolen money, or just forget demanding refund and go make a police report?

    Update on the case:

I made a police report yesterday. As I accidentally deleted the conversation between the scammer, when I had to spring clean older convos from Facebook Marketplace. I still have a screenshot of his profile and phone number. As I lost my bankbook, I have to replace a new one and then get the transaction history out. The police might suspect that the bank account that I wired may be a fake.

The cop that I spoke with said I may need to appear in court soon, but what is the chance I may receive a subpoena for this situation?

Ok…what if I message him and ask him for a refund? If he screws with me, then I’ll go make a police report.

I just realized I'm using a bad site, so I cannot really trust those sites now.

doom eternal is well optimized, and will run on even relative toasters. I wouldn't put any trust in any of these "system requirement" sites. Hell, I don't even trust the publisher's MSR's.

I highly suspect it's the hot GPU air, and the machine is on my table.

Well, I've assembled the rig last year and I'm a long time user of Intel. Especially even I were to switch from Intel to AMD, it means spending extra for a new motherboard.

After hearing many people praising AMD for price and performance, I became convinced though.
