  1. Update: Everything went perfectly fine apart from the fact that i can't find the ahci option on the bios. Can i disable it through the windows?
  2. Thanks a lot. Will try it tomorrow and will ask again for help if any problems occur
  3. In the video Linus selects the windows 7 cd as the first boot device but in my case i don't have one. Also should I enable ahci mode too like he did?
  4. Sorry about not using the quote function before. Are you saying that what i have to do is just take out the old drive and put in the ssd and there will be no problems?
  5. Basically I want to make the ssd my one and only drive but don't know how to transfer the OS to it reliably
  6. A friend gave me his old laptop which has an hdd and is running Windows 10. I am thinking of upgrading to an ssd for better performance. Thing is that the laptop has the internal space for only one drive and I don't have a cable to connect the ssd externally. Is there any way to do it? The laptop has no personal documents or programs inside so i don't have to worry about data loss.
