  1. Hi there! System: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X GPU: EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk RAM: 32GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM G.Skill Ripjaw V CL16 (2X16GB) (F4-3200C16D-32GVK) CPU cooler: Be quiet! DARK ROCK PRO 4 PSU: Corsair RM750x (2021) CPU paste: Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut OS: Windows 10 Pro N 10.0.19044 build 19044 64bit Yesterday I started up my PC, then after opening Lightroom, the whole PC turned off. I tried turning it back on. It powered on, but my displays stayed black and the CPU red light on the motherboard was constantly on. I couldn't turn it off by holding the power button, so I switched off the PSU, then switched off the power strip. After this I turned them back on, then my PC booted up. I ran a CPU stress test while also running Furmark, everything on 100% for several minutes. CPU hit around 75C max and GPU around 72C max. Then I was streaming for three hours without any problem. Today I turned on my PC, started up OBS, started streaming with The Witcher 3 running, then two minutes in, it turned off. I tried to power it on again immediately, but for three or four pushes, only the CPU EZ Debug red light, and the RGB light on the GPU turned on for like half a second, but nothing else happened. After this it turned on again, but after starting streaming, it turned off again. After this I checked what the red EZ Debug lights are doing during a successful bootup: after pushing the power button, the CPU red turns on for a few seconds, then it turns off, the DRAM light blinks a few times for a split second. Then the VGA light is on for a few seconds, then the BOOT light is on for like a second, then all the LED's turn off. I built the PC in December of 2021 and didn't have any problems like this. I have either the 7C91vA8 or the 7C91vA7 BIOS installed (I will check tomorrow), but definitely not the newest 7C91vA94(Beta version) which was released on 3/15/2022. I can't think of any changes I made on the PC. I didn't move it, didn't open it. The last firmware update was a GPU driver update maybe a week ago. What should I do now? Thanks in advance!
  2. Thanks for the insight! Now I'm at the point where I'm thinking not changing my PSU at first and measuring wattage at full load/different scenarios, then decide what's next.
  3. Thank you! I will look into the Fuma 2. Yes, that's what's worrying me as well, I shouldn't cheap out on the PSU. I will get some help from the PSU tier list.
  4. Thank you! Actually, I've been using the 3070 for a while now with my stock 4770k and the 550W PSU without any issues. Although, I know that the TDP of the 5900X is 20 watts higher.
  5. Hi there! Budget: ~1200-1300 EUR (excluding parts that I already have and wouldn't change) Country: Hungary Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Adobe Premiere Pro (4K footage editing and exporting), streaming at 1080p 60fps, gaming at 1440p. Existing parts I wouldn't change: - Corsair Obsidian 450D Airflow Edition case - 3x3.5" HDD - 2xSATA SSD - EVGA Supernova 550W G3 PSU - EVGA XC3 Ultra 3070 GPU - Acer 165Hz 1440p monitor - Eizo CS270 1440p monitor - peripherals Parts I picked after my own research: - AMD 5900X CPU (628 EUR) - Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU cooler (85 EUR) - Arctic MX-5 paste (11 EUR) - Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming (WiFi) motherboard (174 EUR) - Samsung 980 1TB M.2 NVME SSD (142 EUR) - Crucial 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR4 3200 Mhz CL 16 Ballistix Black RAM (191 EUR) = 1231 EUR Comments, questions: I'm not planning on overclocking anything, only maybe undervolting the GPU, but honestly, I haven't done anything like this before. I wouldn't like liquid cooling. According to the power supply calculator I used, I should be okay with my current 550W one (listed above). Would 3600 Mhz RAM make much difference in the real world? Dark Rock Pro 4 or NH-D15? The 3900X goes for ~430 EUR in stores and ~360 EUR on the second hand market. Would this make more sense than going for a new 5900X? Any recommendations or comments about the parts I picked? The prices listed above are store prices in my country... Anything you would recommend getting on the second hand market? Thank you for reading and thanks for answering in advance!
  6. Hi! I'd like to upgrade my PC which was built in 2015 (4770k, GTX760, 24GB's of RAM). My aim is to build a system for the next 3-5 years. I would like to edit 4K 60fps footage in the future (currently using Premiere Pro) and game at 1440p while streaming at 1080p/900p 60fps. My plan is to buy: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X Be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 / Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black (Which would you recommend?) Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Windforce OC 3X 8G G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB Kit 3200Mhz CL16 MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC Arctic MX-4 paste Gigabyte Aorus FI27Q monitor for gaming (Or what IPS high refresh rate monitor would you recommend at around this price point?) I would keep my: Corsair Obsidian 450D case (I have the included 2X140mm fans in the front and 1X120mm fan in the back... Would it be worth buying more?) EVGA Supernova G3 550W (Would it be enough?) 3 WD HDD (2 Blue, 1 Red) 2 Samsung SATA SSD (850 and 860) Eizo CS270 monitor for editing What would you change? I'm not planning to overclock the system. Also, would you wait with the build? If so, why? Promising rumours of new product launches, possible price drops? It's not essential for me to upgrade right now, but I'd like to build it in the next four-five months. Thank you!
