    Yes as is said if I installed the kelebek333 new drivers the wifi adapter is detected in kali Linux but it doesn't goes in monitor mode I think the adapter does support monitor mode but the drive does not

    i recently purchased USB WiFi adapter rtl8188ftv it was automatically detected in windows its vendor ID - 0bda Product ID - f179 i know now everyone will post https://github.com/kelebek333/rtl8188fu this is not my porblem i installed the drivers and the WiFi worked the problem m having is with monitor mode i doubt the drivers does not supports monitor mode i think the wifi supports monitor mode but because of the drivers it not enabled i tried using most of drivers but nothing worked does anyone knows an alternative method for this? p.s. m running kalilinux on virtual box

    how about undervolting it for lower temps ? but no decrease in the performance
