  1. I originally planned to use a Ryzen 5 but I recieved some advice saying that if I wanted to upgrade the computer later on then I should go with the Ryzen 7 so I wouldn't have to buy a new CPU in the future. Thoughts?
  2. This is my first time building a PC and have a tiny bit of knowledge as to what I am doing. I would like to keep this build at around $900 - $1 000 (US). I plan on using it mostly for gaming (FPS games like COD/Destiny 2) and some light video editing, and would like to upgrade it down the line when games become more power hungry. I currently only plan on using one monitor (1080p 144Hz) but may upgrade to two in the future. These are the parts I am currently thinking about: CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 3700X Matisse 3.6GHz 8-Core AM4 Boxed Processor with Wraith Prism Cooler Graphics Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Ventus XS Overclocked Dual-Fan 6GB GDDR6 PCIe 3.0 Video Card Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming plus max AMD ATx AM4 SSD: nland Premium - 512GB SSD 3D NAND M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive Ram: G.Skill - Ripjaws V 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 PC4-25600 CL16 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit F4-3200C16D-16GVKB - Black Power Supply: Corsair - CX550M 550 Watt 80 Plus Bronze ATX Semi-Modular Power Supply Case: N/A First off, will this set up even work? Secondly, if anyone has any other recommendations please let me know. Lastly, I need some case recommendations. I have no idea how to pick a case as I haven’t done enough research into them. I would also prefer the case to be white to match my peripherals, but it’s not a deal breaker. Thanks so much for the help!
