  1. Thank you, I am interested in the Acer one but I am seeing a lot of negative comments regarding blacklight bleed.. I'm just looking at the Amazon comments. Is there a proper site to see official reviews? Seems concerning but a majority of the comments on Amazon are positive so not sure if this is a serious issue
  2. Will be working majority of the week, gaming on weekend. My work doesn't require any kind of special technology, just a basic monitor, however if there is tech in any monitors that helps with eye fatigue that would be helpful as I work for 12+ hours a day on this computer - basically looking at my screen the entire day. Current spec of computer is Ryzon 3700x, 2070 super, 16GB ram, SSD, etc. I already have a Corsair gaming keyboard and Razer mouse. Games: Battlefield / warzone / total war I also of course watch movies / Netflix on this too.
  3. Hi everyone, My work recently gave us $1,100 to spend on equipment (laptop/desktop/monitors [up to 2], keyboard, mouse, etc.). I have a new desktop that I put together (thanks to this forum). I am looking to spend the entire $1,100 on new monitors. I currently have an ASUS 24in (1080p) and a Samsung 27inch (1080p). I am looking to get two 4-K (could also be 2-K) gaming monitors to replace (24-27inch). I see the price ranges pretty significantly so I am looking for advice on what you guys would do in this position. Here are some extra details: -I can spend more than $1,100 (just won't be reimbursed - willing to spend an extra $250 out of pocket if it's really worth it). -I'm not sure "gaming" can show up in the receipt, but it's possible it won't be an issue... Any recs that aren't "gaming" but have the same capability are highly welcomed! Thank you
  4. Hey everyone, Just put together my new build. AMD Ryzen 7 3700x and G skill 16GB ram 3600mz- Timing 16-19-19-39. When I click "Profile 1" under DOCP in BIOS I get the notice attached here. How should I proceed- I dont want to break anything. Thanks!
  5. Hi everyone, I just ordered a Ryzen 7 3700X with an Asus X570-P motherboard. In addition I ordered G.Skill Ripjaws V series 16GB 3600 memory with timings of (16-19-19-39) and latency of CAL Latency 16. I checked G.Skill's site for QVL and it seems like they will be compatible. However, I am wondering if the 3600 speed will work out of the package, or do I need to do anything special in order to make it get to 3600 speed. I watched a LTT video on the topic but I still don't really understand for my specific situation. Thank you!
  6. yeah in the original post I put that I'm getting a ryzen 3700x and 32GB DDR4 3600- was wondering if this ram was overkill
  7. Thanks for posting this. I see that the 5700XT has good value from that video, do you think that my ram is overkill?
  8. Thanks for the response, another user mentioned that RX5700XT is a better value than 2070 Super, do you agree. Also do you think that my ram is overkill too, or is it fine?
  9. My current setup is really bad. CPU: I5-2320 GPU: GTX 770 Memory: 16GB Nothing else is notable except that there is an SSD (Samsung EVO), but when I try to play COD Warzone it crashes, also my computer will sometimes just crash as well. I think it's because I bought a crappy PSU a long time ago. In general my system is in need of an upgrade.
  10. What do you think is a more appropriate GPU as I honestly dont see myself upgrading the monitor for a long time- long enough time that I will have bought a new GPU by that point honestly. Thanks!
  11. Hey everyone, I am thinking about getting a GTX 2080 Super with Ryzen 3700x and 32gb 3600 DDR4 ram and I'm wondering if its overkill given that my monitor is 1080p 60hz. I want to get a good GPU to last a while but also don't want to pay a premium for something that I will not be able to see the benefit from. For reference I am planning to play games like COD Warzone and BF5. Thanks!
  12. Thanks for posting this, mind if I ask why you think the motherboard is garbage that I posted, I don't follow tech very closely, just curious what you spotted about it that makes it bad.
  13. Hi Everyone! This is my first time on the forum and I am looking to get a new PC since my current one just doesn't seem to run games as well anymore. I went through newegg and found some parts for the new one, if you could please let me know if this setup makes sense and is balanced for the price I would appreciate it! I am looking to play games like BF5 and Call of Duty Warzone and my current PC crashes when I try (Intel i5-2320 and GTX 770)- Thank you!
