  1. Turns out your theory of it being "activated" was right, I tried the things SchrimpBrime said but I saw no difference. So what I did was swap the OS drive with an old win10 laptop drive I had lying around and everything worked perfectly fine. So I reinstalled windows and was extra careful with installing programs and drivers and it all works as it should. I'm still not sure what program or driver or whatever caused it to do that but I am glad I have a fix. Thank you all for the help!
  2. The High Performance Plan that I tweeked a little, Minimum and maximum processor state is set to 100% and I have no power saving options enabled anywhere,
  3. I hadn't heard of the EDC bug, but I just tried the PBO with different settings and an EDC of 25 seems to work best but I still have the same issue. Rn it just boosts higher on start up to around 4.33 or 4.45 GHz and seems to stay there just a little bit longer than before. But then it just drops straight back to the 3.78GHz. I am very suspicious about the Windows unplugging sound that I hear every single time before the drop occurs.
  4. So I didn't know what to do anymore and assumed the Motherboard was faulty. Amazon kindly sent over a new one and after swapping everything out, it still does the exact same thing.
  5. I just tried the overclock as Shimejii mentioned but with 1.350V and it reached 4.3GHz for about 10 seconds after start up and then just went down to that 3.78GHz again. I also checked the EDC TDC and SOC voltages in Ryzen Master but they don't even get to 50% during an Intel Burn Test so that shouldn't be the problem either. I also noticed that my Motherboard automatically put 1.462V as my standard Vcore voltage with the 3.50GHz base speed
  6. I use the NZXT X73 AIO, My thermals seem fine, they idle around 30-35 °C and under 100% load it goes up to like 60-70°C depending on the task. I haven't but I will give it a shot.
  7. Hi all! My 3950x has really weird boost behaviour, in fact it basically doesn't boost at all. The stock base speed is 3.50GHz and should be able to boost to 4.7GHz in single threaded tasks but on start up it boosts to 4.2GHz and then 2 seconds later it drops to 3.78GHz permanently and gets stuck there. I've tried many different single and multi threaded benchmarks and stress test but it's jst stuck at that speed. I've checked all the BIOS settings and it should all be alright, but even when I overclock the base speed to 3.90 GHz then it still does exactly the same thing. I've also tried running my RAM in different speeds. I've checked all my windows 10 power settings and I've tried BIOS versions 1.12, 1.18 and after the problem not being resolved with the newest BIOS I tried 1.17 too but that didn't work either. I hope someone can help me with this cause I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance My specs: - MSI MEG X570 ACE - Ryzen 9 3950X - 4 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3200Mhz - NZXT X73 AIO - MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GAMING X TRIO 11G - OS drive: Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 500 GB
