  1. HI everyone, thanks in advance. This is my first build and I need some help. Mobo: ASRock B450m Pro4-F CPU- AMD Ryzen 5 2600 RAM : Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz DDR4, 2 x 8GB GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5600 XT PSU: Be quiet Pure Power 11 Case: Be Quiet pure base 500 Essentially my problem is that the motherboard is not posting, even when I am working from the motherboard outside of the case with power connected. It was then observed that the CPU fan (and case fans if Mobo was installed in case) were turning on when the PSU power switch was turned on – not when the power switch was pressed (on the case, or shorting the pins with screwdriver). There do not appear to be any lights or noises coming from the motherboard. I do not have any other PSUs to check for faults there. I have done the paperclip test and it worked. Things I have tried : re-arranging RAM in any possible combination, double and triple checking power supply to mobo (24pin and 8 pin), removing SSD (M.2), inspecting for loose screws, removing CMOS battery. I would appreciate any help- it sounds from other forums that it might be a short, but wondered if there was any other guidance out there? Thanks!
