  1. 2 minutes late temps drastically dropped to 38 degrees and pc is quiet now wtf
  2. I’m checking in bios right now and temperatures vary from 45-55 degrees constantly fluctuating. Fan speeds also change a lot from 950RPM-1500RPM. Out of no where my fans just got loud and temps went up to 63 degrees and 1800RPM.
  3. Hello, It just occurred that today my cpu fans became really loud and my pc kept shutting of every minute. I looked at my CPU temperatures and it was over 90 degrees which was causing my pc to shut down and give up. I proceeded to run MalwareBytes and remove all viruses but the problem still occurred. I speculated that it might be the thermal paste so I removed my old thermal paste and reapplied it. The problem still occurred. I read online on TomsHardware that it could be the PSU not providing enough power and voltage not being balanced or something. So I think my psu is the issue here as it was a cheap, low efficiency psu. Specs: MOBO: B450 Aorus Elite GPU: RX 5700 XT SAPPHIRE PULSE CPU: AMD 3700X RAM: T-Force Grey 3200Mhz 32GB (16x2) PSU: Cooler Master MWE White 750W 230V 80 Plus Standard PSU Cooler: ML240L V2 RGB
  4. Hey guys, I'm thinking of upgrading my CPU as it seems to bottleneck my Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT. Questions: Would the Ryzen 5 3700X be a good pair with the 5700XT? What would be a decent motherboard considering I'm on a bit of a budget I mostly play Fortnite and edit and render videos. Current Specs: Mobo: ASRock H310CM-HDV GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT CPU: i5 9400F RAM: T-Force Gray 32GB (16x2) AIO: ML240L V2 Coolermaster Budget for Mobo and CPU: ~$600-700AUD
  5. Yeah I read that extension cables over 6ft could have issues.
  6. Hi, I was wondering if there was an extension cable for the webcam (Logitech C920) as it's cable length is only 152cm and I would prefer at least 2m. I read up on some websites and it was recommended to use a USB repeater with 2.0. I found this cable: https://www.amazon.com.au/USB3-0-Extension-Mensis-M-Female-Transfer/dp/B07BGXWZ71/ref=asc_df_B07BGRN7YZ/?tag=googleshopdsk-22&linkCode=df0&hvadid=341743940079&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1700148464452661697&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9071446&hvtargid=pla-675620513903&th=1 but wasn't sure if it will work on the C920 and produce good quality. Edit: I also found this one https://www.amazon.com.au/USB3-0-Extension-Mensis-M-Female-Transfer/dp/B07BGXWZ71/ref=asc_df_B07BGRN7YZ/?tag=googleshopdsk-22&linkCode=df0&hvadid=341743940079&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1700148464452661697&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9071446&hvtargid=pla-675620513903&th=1 Thanks.
  7. I've decided to go with TVwazhere's suggestion of the Silverstone RL08 as it's in my price range and will be perfect for my micro ATX mobo. Thanks for asking these questions, really appreciated.
  8. Thanks for the suggestion! Thinking about getting this one as I'm on a budget.
  9. Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for inverted cases as my PC is positioned on the left of me and I would want to display the parts inside. I have a micro-ATX motherboard btw (ASRock H310CM-HDV).
  10. alright thank you for the response
  11. I was wondering if my ram (T-Force Vulcan Z series 16GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz clocked down to 2666MHz) would be stable at 2667MHz. My motherboard (ASRock H310CM-HDV) only supports up to 2666MHz. Thanks.
  12. Alright thanks for the help man. Appreciate it
  13. Top one because it's cheaper, has basically the same specs and is bigger
  14. Hello, 1. So I'm trying to setup a triple monitor setup but the thing is that my motherboard (ASRock H310CM-HDV) only supports a maximum of two monitors. In short, I was wondering if I could exceed or at least reach up to a maximum of 4 monitors with my GPU (ASUS-PH 1060 3GB). 2. I was also wondering about what cable I should get for my graphics card, would it be a Display Port cable? Currently the HDMI cable and DVI cable are plugged into my graphics card and I have a Dell monitor from 2013 that is just going to be used for Discord. SPECS: GPU: ASUS-Phoenix 1060 3GB CPU: i5 9400F RAM: T-Force Vulcanz (16x2) 2666 MHZ (Clocked doww to 2400MHZ) SSD: 256GB WD HDD: 1TB Seagate Main Monitor: Viewsonic VX2458-mhd 144hz Thank you.
  15. I recommend getting the i5 9400F as you only play games. It turbo boosts up to 4.1Ghz and is basically the same price as the Ryzen 5 1600 in my country. If you look at benchmark videos on youtube, the results are pretty decent.
  16. I had a similar issue. In my case, it was 3 bent cpu socket pins which I carefully and successfully bent back and got the PC working fine. Sorry if this doesn't help in your case.
  17. Yeah I definitely recommend contacting your ISP to resolve the problem.
  18. I had a similar problem but I had LEDs on, fans spinning but no video comes out of GPU. The fix for my issue was that the motherboard had bent cpu socket pins (3) but successfully bent them back and displayed video on screen. This may not be a fix for you, but in my case, this was my fix.
  19. You could try using the software Speccy but not sure if it 100% detects your ram brand.
  20. I watched a couple of youtube videos and used tweezers, a toothpick and a magnifying glass to carefully bend them in the right direction, but remember you have to be very delicate. I also recommend checking your motherboards socket type.
  21. I recommend monitoring your CPU and GPU temperatures and usage using MSI Afterburner.
  22. Hi, I recently had the same issue where my PC would turn on, fans spinning but no display on screen. I fixed this by inspecting my whole PC such as looking at the CPU socket pins to see if there were bent and yes there were 3 bent socket pins which I fixed and boom, it turned on. This may not be the case for you, but was a fix for me.
  23. Hi, I was wondering if 32GB is overkill for my PC considering I only play games on it. I have to go with the 32GB because I couldn't get a refund in order to get dual channel, hence having to spend more money. Also would dual channel (2x16) greatly improve performance on Fortnite? Specs: i5 9400F 1060 3GB 16GB (1x16) H310CM-HDV ASRock Motherboard 240GB SSD 1TB HDD Thanks.
  24. Thank for the help Also, will I need a BIOS update?
