Hi,
I built a new computer a few months ago and have been having some GPU related issues (I think) when playing games. Crashes have only happened while playing games and I have never crashed while doing anything else.
My setup:
MOBO: MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
CPU FAN: Scythe Mugen 5 PCGH Edition
GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 5700 XT
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (2x8GB)
PSU: Corsair RM650x (2018)
Storage: Gigabyte NVMe SSD 1TB
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C
Monitors: 27" LG UltraGear 27GL850 and 24" asus monitor
What happens:
I get three different kind of crashes:
Screens go black and pc restarts automatically.
Screens go black and game closes giving me an error like: , when this happens I noticed the radeon software crashed and opens a new instance in the background.
Screens go black and stays stuck, I have to restart myself if this happens. This happened quite a few times at the beginning, but I don't think I've had this happen in the past weeks.
There are a few games I haven't had any crashes with (that I've played for more than 5 hours):
Rocket league
League of Legends
Fortnite
Call of Duty Modern Warfare
Cities Skylines
Dead by Daylight
Whereas most other games I have crashed multiple times, varying from 4x an hour to once every few hours:
Sea of Thieves
Gears 5
World War Z
Age of Empires II HD edition
What I have tried:
Used DDU / AMD cleanup utility to remove all drivers and do a clean install.
Updated chipset drivers.
Tried different driver versions, currently using the latest.
Kept Windows up to date.
Disabled hardware accelaration when possible (discord/chrome).
Flash MOBO with latest update, I actually couldn't get this to work as my pc wouldn't recognize the USBs I put the file on, but my bios version isn't too old (octobert 2019)
Lowered ingame settings (no difference).
Could anyone help me troubleshoot? I'm not sure where to go from here. I am unable to test the system with a different gpu / test the gpu on a different system.
I have attached the error logs incase they're useful.
Thanks in advance,
Jeffrey
