  1. I have a ASUS G15 which came with 16gb of ram, it only has one up-gradable slot, so I wend with I went with 8x32. The computer runs without issues until it goes into sleep/hibernation, where when it is woken up the desktop is plagued by graphical glitches (link to video demonstrating). It seems to be a little different every time, but the common themes are an either a blue or black desktop with either no task bar, or a task bar without any icons other than the windows search which looks wrong with a very basic font. I am sometimes able to click on the windows icon even though it is not graphically there, when I can, the menu pops up but there are no words at all, I am able to click on and select options but again there are no words (the video shows this). So far this has ended in one of three ways every time: either crashing and restarting, waiting for 2-3 minutes and then the GUI returns to normal but is still sluggish and then crashes, or after the GUI returns to normal windows just starts functioning normally, but I typically do a reset anyway. Another thing to note is that when the computer is only asleep for a short time 5-10 minutes this does not happen, it is only when it has been left for a while. (link to video demonstrating). What I have done so far: -updated graphics drivers -flashed newest firmware -run various memory tests including the windows built in, and memtest84+ (no issues found) -disabled fast startup, and disabled hibernation -and other various troubleshooting steps over the last weeks that I can't recall at the moment Let me know if you guys have anything I can try, or at least an explanation for why this might be happening.
  2. Budget (including currency): 1400 USD Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Streaming, gaming, Video editing, 3d modeling/rendering, etc. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want): I am much more familiar with the desktop component market, but a laptop is going to fit my current needs better. I have been saving up for this laptop expecting to make the purchase once 3000 series gpu's start popping up in laptops, but with the whole trump tax going on I am worried that if I wait the prices are all going to go up. Looking for laptop suggestions, or for opinions on if it would be smart to just continue waiting for the next gen laptops. *Current thoughts if I want to buy now are g14 or this legion: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Zephyrus-Gaming-GeForce-Moonlight/dp/B088PDB63Z/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=g14&qid=1610163923&sr=8-4 https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Legion-Gaming-7-4800H-Phantom/dp/B08Q7BL7N1/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Lenovo+Legion+5+15.6%22+Gaming+Laptop+144Hz+AMD+Ryzen+7-4800H+16GB+RAM+512GB+SSD+RTX+2060+6GB+Phantom+Black+-+AMD+Ryzen+7+4800H+Octa-core+-+NVIDIA&qid=1610221700&sr=8-1
  3. I bought my computer when I was younger and dumber, one of my friends who I though knew a lot about computers told me it was a good deal so I went for it. I have since upgraded and the current system is a b450 motherboard, a ryzen 5 1600, and a gtx 980. While looking at nicer graphics cards today I realized that I have never actually taken my psu out to look at the labels. When I bought it I was told that it was a cougar 600w bronze and I didn't ask any questions but when I looked at it today I found no labels on any side and it doesn't look like any of the pictures of cougar products. I don't want an unreliable power supply in my system for a moment longer than it has to be. Am I missing something, should I even be worrying?
