CuzinEd got a reaction from Shahnewaz in Monitor won't shut off/sleep like it normally does
So for anyone who has the same issue I went digging around on the internet and found this.

I am using the same Joystick, a Logitech 3D Pro. It seems having a USB joystick or a controller like an Xbox One/360 controller will stop your display from shutting off.

That is really dumb. Why MS hasn't fixed it is beyond me.

But that's how you fix it.

I have the same CPU. My GPU is a MSI RTX 2070 Super. I also have a GTX 1070 Ti I keep as a backup in case I have to RMA my card or it dies out of warranty. If the 1070 Ti fails then my old R9 390 is the backup till I get a new one.

    I have 32GB of DDR4 at 3200Mhz.

You have a good PC there. I was thinking of putting my 1070 Ti in just to see how it runs with my new CPU.

yeah it looks ok. don't worry too much about idle temps unless the fan gets annoying.
what temps are you getting under load/stress test? if those stay under 85-90, you're fine.

55°C is not high at all. The fan profile might be the "issue". At low temps (<70-85°) the system usually tries to run as silently as possible, so lower fan speed = higher temps.
But really 50ish C is not high at all.

Also don't trust software readings, they are all flawed and cannot be trusted.

CuzinEd got a reaction from GTB_Greedy in Switching from controller to keyboard and mouse
Going from controller to keyboard and mouse is great. The mouse allows you to be much more accurate. Of course you have to be calm under fire. If you are jittery as hell while being shot at in a game then a mouse wont do anything for you. If you can learn to be calm and use the mouse right in a FPS or games that involve shooting you can literally become walking death.

I used to be a console peasant so I was used to playing with a controller. But I have been PC gaming for a while now. I knew I could never use a controller again when I tried playing RDR1 and I couldn't hit a damned thing using the controller. I literally needed to use the deadeye ability for 95% of my shots. Using the controller was terrible. I felt like crap, I kept saying to myself I am never this bad in shooting games. It's the controller. RDR1 is a great game by the way, even if you have to play with a controller.

I only use my Xbox One controller in games that don't involve shooting. Otherwise it's the mouse and keyboard for me. I also use the controller in racing and flight games like Ace Combat 7. Cause using the keyboard and mouse in racing and games that involve flying is really bad.

CuzinEd got a reaction from Beerzerker in Do you think Intel will lose their CPU market?
No, Intel will probably be fine. I just watched a video about I believe it was their i10 line of CPU's and the prices are pretty low.

It's better to have AMD and intel competing than to have one company in complete control.

Intel will just have to compete with AMD better. I still plan to use an AMD CPU as my upgrade choice. I have to buy a new motherboard anyway so I might as well go AMD.
