Common causes of this error include: - Host (A) or (AAAA) records that map the names of the domain controllers to their IP addresses are missing or contain incorrect addresses. - Domain controllers registered in DNS are not connected to the network or are not running. I'm currently out of ideas. Please help me. Ok so how i got it to work was, i changed my Routers DNS to Primary as the Domain Controllers and im able to join perfectly fine without editing Hosts file or changing dns settings on local computer, and i put the 2nd dns (alternate) as googles dns WHat is your opinion on this Im a noob to networking

Hey Guys, I just setup softether VPN on my 2012 R2 Domain Controller. I can connect to the vpn no problem. I can ping my domains IP 192.168.1.118 but when im on the VPN the IP i get Assigned is 192.168.30.10. I can easily join the vpn when im at home no problem but i would like to learn how can i join the domain when the ip is 192.168.30.10? Pls help Guys.

Hello Community, I would like some advise about Creating a EGPU (RTX 2070 Super) over PCIe on Laptop I have a 256gb M.2 SSD which i would hate to loose then i have the wifi card slot which i dont use since i use ethernet for a more stable connection. i saw a video on ltt channel on youtube where he tried it on a laptop on the wifi card slot but im unsure what that type of cable is called. My laptop has a 6core 12 thread i7 but dosent have thunderbolt 3 How could i do a eGPU over PCIe without having to remove my M.2 SSD my Laptop Lenovo Legion Y530 -15ich-81fv i7 8750 please help any tutorial or help would be greatly appreciated. I will be using en external monitor if needed.

Hello guys, I have a 1year old Sabrent 256GB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 Internal SSD High Performance Solid State Drive (SB-ROCKET-256) that i bought from amazon, since I have a career in IT now i was doing some benchmarks on the SSD to see how fast it performed attached are the results. I see that the reads perfectly fine but it lags with the write speeds. Amazon post stated that i read and write up to 3100mbs which is the reason i bought it for, Now my question is why is it writing so slowly? I have a Lenovo Legion Y530 81fv i7-8750h with GTX 1050ti 16GB RAM I made sure that the mobo was compatible and had a M.2 NVMe Capability. Windows still boots up super quick in under 5sec all programs in ssd are fine but when i try and copy and paste a copy of a 4gb file it starts at 68kbs YES kbs! I need help if you guys got solutions let me know please!!!

it sends everything out for Password policy and restricting access to control panel and cmd, but does not give out info about the shortcut.

I have a AD DC which has 5 PCs Connected to it. I recently Finished Creating the file system with shared folders that can be accessed over network but when i go on the Group Policy Editor and create a new shortcut to direct to the file system it does not apply on the other computers. I have the GPO Linked and Enforced. On the client pcs i run on cmd "gpupdate" but no luck i have diabled firewall anti-virus restart borth server and client but no luck Could you guys please help me. how can i disable nat ? could you please guide me trought that ? And we have lot of phones and tablets conected to the wifi will that make anything stop working?

yes i believe there is a nat i pucrhased a network switch from amzn and hooked it up the router where i have the main computer where im setting up the server a tv and ps4

Hello Guys! Im brand new to the community, i have a problem i have been pulling my hair out for the past 2 weeks, i have done tons of research but no luck. I built a Windows Server 2016 through VMWare Workstation 15 I made a Domain with the name of Homesrvr.local I have a static IP IPv4 192.168.65.150 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway 192.168.65.2 Then DNS 192.168.65.2 If a make another VMWorksation running Windows 10 Pro and on DNS i type the IP of the server it joins beautifully without any problems, but here is the problem I grab my old laptop and is running windows 10 pro and i try to join the domain over "wifi" using DNS as the IP of Homesrvr.local (192.168.65.150) i get the error that i get nightmares with "An Active Directory Domain Controller (AD DC) for the domain “homesrvr” could not be contacted. Plese Help!!!!!!
