I've been having this very specific crashing issue with my PC and I've tried but haven't found many existing solutions online.
Basically what happens is that in a few specific games, my PC switches off completely when some big event happens and sometimes just for fun.
My PC shuts down when;
- I play PUBG on anything other than all low settings and take a shot
- I was playing HL2 Ep2 and the
- Most recently, Half Life Alyx when any big transition happens like an explosion or environmental event like
In other games like DOOM Eternal I'm playing on max settings for hours without any issues, It's just these specific games.
I've monitored my temps while trying to get it to crash
GPU - 67c
CPU - 45c
Seems normal to me.
I've changed motherboards, and RAM.
Only CPU, GPU, and PSU are unchanged because I can't really access alternatives right now.
No OC on anything.
Operating System - Windows 10 Edu 64bit
Specs -
GPU - EVGA 1080ti SC2 Hybrid
CPU - i7 8700K @ 3.7Ghz
Mobo - ASRock Z370M ITX/ AC
RAM - Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 8x2 3000Mhz
PSU - SeaSonic FOCUS Plus Gold 650 W 80+ Gold
Half Life Alyx gives me an error where it says I'm low on GPU Vram, but I have 11GB? So maybe there's something wrong with my GPU VRAM?
Any help would be appreciated, and please let me know if there's any additional info that would help.
Thanks.
