  1. Yeah, obviosly i gave you a great template for Stormtrooper jokes ! I hoped to get top 50 at first..... not gonna happen
  2. Stop those Stormtrooper jokes! Even a Stormtrooper sometimes hits
  3. Place 43 .... What are you guys doing? Or is it just me producing less and less points
  4. ;) I really love Distributed Computing cause you can help Science so much by just using some spare Parts :)
  5. Nooooo! I think i might need to ramp a a few more systems .....
  6. Thats only half true since you still benefit from higer local speed (for example to youre NAS or Server sitting in the same network) Also yes it increases youre speed but first you need to enable "port bundling" (if im correct) to get the full out of it
  7. Haven't been folding for month now. Good reason to start again . Might get 2-4 Systems going!
  8. Because of the higher Voltage needet to get the 4.2Ghz running (P (in Watt) = U (in Volt) * I (in amps), so if U or I rises, youre Wattages rises and a lot more heat is beeing produced)
  9. Just dumped my bunkers on NumberFields 30k isn't that much, but i hope it might help
  10. Have had the same issue a while ago. For me the only way to fix it was to reinstall the nvidia driver. Mybe you could try echo "1" > /sys/bus/pci/devices/$NUMBER/reset while $NUMBER is the device id you get from lspci -vv (vv only if i remember right) to powercycle just this one card
  11. I'm not sure if im understanding it right, but no im not going to do direct die cooling. Had bad experience with it (broke the silicon of my old i3 when trying it) You can just apply liquid metal betwenn the heatspreader and the cpu. Should give me arround -20*C under full load
  12. Just messured my water temps. Seems like the high cpu temp comes form the bad intel thermal paste . i'm thinking of delidding the cpu and apply some proper thermal paste
