Nice, I had googled if this was possible and found a forum post from 2 years ago stating no AMD board had any such feature. Sure enough combed through the manual and you are right. I forget how long 2 years is in upgrade cycles. Thanks!

I'm looking into doing a new build. Since it is coming so soon I would like to use the something from the Ryzen 5000 series. The problem is I don't currently have a AMD processor to use for updates and I'm unclear on the bios situation. I am planning on a B550 Mobo (currently looking at the MSI MAG B550M BAZOOKA). If I'm understanding the material correctly if the Mobo ships with a BIOS that supports AGESA 1.0.8.0 then it will post and I can update the bios to the fully compatible 1.1.0.0. Even if my understanding is right, I'm unclear how I would know that the Mobo I order has the BIOS in question. The safest thing I can think to do is wait until Mobo ship with explicit Ryzen 5000 support, but I'd rather not wait since who knows how long that will be. Any experts more knowledge than I have insight here?

I used to fold years ago when it was a new thing but forgot it existed until it was mentioned in an LTT video on the youtubes. When I had trouble getting WU's I figured this would be a good place to check for advice. I discovered a lot of people having the problem and that it wasn't really my issue, but also came across this event. I've gotta say it's been a blast following along and watching my rankings rise as I get my machines running at full steam. I don't feel like I'm really high in the ranking but it's been fun. I've mostly been lurking but as things are winding down just wanted thanks to everyone for putting this together. Based on the conversations here this is a think y'all do regularly so I hope to join again sometime.
