  1. also would this be a good addition to the build? https://www.newegg.com/p/1FT-000M-001W0
  2. all parts will be purchased except the hard drives and gpu. currently using a older dell with gpu and hard drives in it. insperon 3847 with 16gb of ram and the hard drives ssd and gpu listed. core i5 4460 cpu
  3. based off the specs most games require , the systems listed are fine for a few years at the least. id kill for the budget for a system like the listed ones.
  4. id think qtip and rubbing alcohol would be a starting point, if you didnt try it already. if it continues to bother you sand papper would likely rebove the rust or a wire brush. in either case be careful not to damage the card.
  5. ok this is a planning build thread. location: usa. skill level: i have replaced everything short of motherboard and cpu and heatsink. i am more than capable with a screwdriver. i have decided on the main parts to a extent but would like to save a little. parts selected so far. motherboard: aorus pro wifi b450 note: any b450 or better with wifi built in would be acceptable. cpu choices. 1: ryzen 1600 af 2: ryzen 3400g (would allow for upgrades and easy diagnostics) note: intel cpus are to expensive to be considered in this price range. videocard: my current 1050ti superclocked 4gb ddr5. hard drives and ssd: my current 3tb & 6 tb hard drives and my 500gb sata ssd. power supply: any reputable 500watt psu or higher. case: Cooler Master N400 case is not overly important i wont be filling it with rainbow puke lighting. note: would like to have a bluray/dvd drive so i can emulate ps2 and other disc based console games. primary concern is budget trying to stay under $500. all advice on my choice is welcome. at this point waiting on income tax return. i have looked at prebuilts wich run 200-300usd more than my config for lesser parts. i wish folks would get the concept that at 600usd a gen 2 i5/i3 isnt a good deal. also i saw some sites selling a new pc with a 90 day warranty, what is up with that bs.
