Have a skim through the past 20 or so pages.  We've got an ironing board PC cluster, a table top PC with a pet cage holding the PSU, a counter top PC with cards requiring social distancing for airflow, and more!

Has anyone else not gotten any GPU work for about 12 hours?
Also: Folding helps keep my coffe warm:

(I know, bad cable management, but this is just something I quickly chucked together from old hardware, will be disasembled after the event)

Wow, I totally didn't expect this. Even being in the Top1000 was nothing I thought would be possible, but Top400 for now with only a Ryzen9 3950X and a Radeon RX5700 XT is... wow
Thanks for the update every day, and the race style commentary ^^

Yeah, same with me. Hopefully it will continue. I have definitely felt the temperature increase in my computer room this afternoon due to all my machines being active.

Folding for 8 days now and proud to hit the 4m mark this night. I am folding with my R9 3950x and my RTX 2070 and my girlfriends PC, R5 2600X with RX380 and finally after the few first days i am getting more constant WUs to crunch through!

LOVE the ol 2 door jags!  However, since I couldn't find one back in 90 when I was lookin for one w/ blown engine, found a 72 XJ6 w/ the frozen straight 6 in it, tore that junk outa there n slapped my 72 Buick Estate Wagon 455 and trans in it. 14.6 at 89 mph in the quarter 1st time out w/ no mods to stock grocery getter 455... Had 4 wheel disc brakes in 1972! and was definitely a posi rear-end... Tore up the Houston streets w/ that thing... Fun times!  Still like the looks of the 2-door WAY more!

Ooh, good try!  Not quite though.  It's a 1950 Hudson Commodore 6:

Thanks, I almost bought an XJ12 to do the Gambler 500 with, but my XJS has a full service history from purchase, it's basically numbers matching and is near perfect, so I'm not messing with it at all.

Same here. It's why I work on big stuff. Still lots of computers and tech involved. Especially with auto guidance systems.

If you have a modern GPU, and just ONE gpu, each GPU may use up to from 75-100 watts per hour, plus the computer power used, for stuff like cpu, memory, fans, monitor(s), etc, and the power efficiency loss of it all, could be up in the 300-400 watts per hour range...
So, say .5 kW per hour,
    .5 kW / hour x 24 hours in a day = 12 kW/day.
    if your elec rate is .$.10/kW, then you'd be using $.10 / kW X 12 kW = $1.20/day, or $36/mo...
I've had rates as low as $/069/kW... Those were the days!
    Good luck!

I've used Kill-a-watt meter, works GREAT.  Shows hwo much computer uses real time, and can also log hwo much it uses over time... Cheap device, but very effective...
Can watch the wattage increase as your GPU's come online and begin working... 300 watts, 400 watts, 1000 watts, etc... Neat device!

You can do a bit of math yourself and it shouldn't be massively off. If your computer uses ~400W then look at your power bill and get the kwh per unit price then:

(0.4 * total hours per day) * kwh price = Cost per day

    E.g (0.6 * 24) * 0.2902 = $4.18/day

    New to this folding stuff.
Pointed 3 minings rigs at covid folding for Team Linus... (TWO 6-gpu & ONE 4-gpu rig, 16 gpu's total)
Believe I've setup usernames, passkeys, and team properly, as well as verified my username on the team, however I don't see that I'm ranked within the team...
Can anyone tell if I'm setup properly?  Folding User: PCSolid.com (LTT user: PCSolidcom)
Either way I'm still folding to help find the covid cure, but would like to be sure I'm helpin the team out.
    Awesome!
Keep up the great work Team LTT and everyone, Rokkin it!

If you're new at it, you may not show up in the rankings until tomorrow.  That's a pretty common thing with the folding stats servers.
