  1. I had most of my systems still crunching 10-20hours task for iber. I decided to cut losses and cancelled them all to get faster task (I noticed that sometimes I got ridiculously low points for 10hours task). Aaaand I got new tasks planned for 16hours I thought they removed them from the server... (ok seems to be only artifacts in the estimation, it did 10% in 15min) Also one server was still crunching rosetta while bunkered, all task are expired... And my desktop custom loop started leaking last night was expecting it (dirt cheap fittings with a loop running full blast since the f@h covid event). Now that is good news, I will finally be able to transplant the system in its new home. I have a LL 011 DXL waiting for couple of weeks ! Edit: Good news, I found two bunkers with 400 tasks waiting for me to allow upload !
  2. I wonder how bad it's gonna be when everyone dump their sprint task on their server.
  3. We should do a situation point in 24 hours and see how much is bunkered.
  4. You can force submit the task by updating the project. I am pretty sure you can use the boinc client api to do it: project_op(PROJECT&, char* op) Perform a control operation on the given project (only the master_url field needs to be set). op is one of "suspend", "resume", "reset", "detach", "update", "allowmorework", "nomorework". Since 5.10.14: "detach_when_done", "dont_detach_when_done". Disclaimer, too lazy to do it, so I keep my 12 boinc manager windows open and regularly go manually update the project that need it
  5. Correct even 1pt above it is good
  6. I would say yes if you can, up until the target is met. That would help.
  7. Ok after checking more with the post office, it seems that it is usps that also charge "handling fees" to manage the duties. Well having to pay 50% extra is a bit frustrating ...
  8. I pushed a V100 on it and put back the helicopter (RTX2070) on it
  9. Hey guys, off topic, did any of you from europe ordered from LTT store? If yes did you had issues with delivery? My post office is currently asking for 26€ saying that it was paid on delivery postage... not duty or taxes.
  10. Oh well it worked this time ...
  11. I have a screenshot that show us on 4 that is all that matter
  12. Yeah it happened after I added the sprint. I cancelled unstarted job for rosetta and started pulling jobs for sprint. Then system became sluggish and dropped connection. After a restart I can connect to it but boinc crashes after 15-20min of restarting and when looking at activity it is still trying to start rosetta jobs during that time. Then it was 3am and gave up
  13. What did you ended up doing, wondering too. Also now I have one server that keep crashing on BOINC (I feel it saturate something when trying to start rosetta on the 64 cpu, but RAM is ok). Going to try to split it in two 32 systems and see if it helps.
  14. Currently "estimating" at 6.5 hours
  15. More Wu available for the sprint
  16. Glad I set up most of my systems already.
  17. It can become weird at time... I do not count the number of time when in the middle of a meeting my brain switch to English mid sentence after crossing a borrowed word. Usually leads to a lot of confused looks
  18. Never post on the way to bed... Now my cover is gone
  19. It was OCP stats https://www.seti-germany.de/boinc_pentathlon/statistiken/teamstats_fr_8_LinusTechTips_Team.html
  20. It is the "cross country" event and is very highly gpu bound (you can run CPU on it but they are way better used on the "marathon" ) https://www.seti-germany.de/boinc_pentathlon/statistiken/challenge.php?challengeid=4
  21. I have to say, I am impressed by us. Totally hectic, from all over the world, with barely any strategy and still managing to push quite well !
  22. You guys are doing well with your GPUs Had to stop my laptop, it was smelling weird and my daughter kept complaining about the "helicopter" in the office
  23. Will start two more system on it. I need to calculate sometime the point per hour of the different configuration.
  24. That is quite long, I am disappointed I was expecting better. Did you try on a v100 or t4?
