mkdewidar's Achievements

  1. I'm currently rocking a 2 - 3 year old Razer deathadder with a Goliathus mouse pad. Since I always use laptops I don't actually have a keyboard though at one point I bought a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo that I occasionally use when I need a small mouse or when I need a keyboard from a distance.
  2. The Excalibur V2; I really want a mechanical keyboard and this one is quite the one, I really like the blue back light and the macros. Also really like the font on the keyboard.
  3. I have a laptop which I use for uni and gaming but it's only got a 5400rpm hard drive, I've been really wanting to get an SSD, Very often when I use the laptop I find the hard disk at 100% usage, especially when playing an open world game or doing programming. SSD would really help.
  4. I like how compact and good looking it is; it doesn't look "gamey" which is nice and it's also at a size which you can't really build yourself unless you start to mod the graphics cards and motherboards (and even then probably not that small). It's also powerful enough to be able to game on for a couple of years if you don't mind changing the settings, then once it gets too old you can add more storage and turn it into a storage server. Just wish they had some sort of graphics upgrade program where you can pay to have the graphics upgraded in the future, also ability to change LED colour.
  5. The keyboard is my favourite, it's a simple mechanical keyboard that doesn't look like it came from out of space and also doesn't look like sh*t.
  6. Thanks to mass drop and linus media group for the giveaway. I have personally never tried anything smaller than a full sized keyboard, at least not as a daily driver. I almost always use the number pad when I need to enter numbers though. Reaching out for top keys feels awkward to me.
  7. mkdewidar is my username. https://www.vessel.com/videos/JYZEYDYx0 https://www.vessel.com/videos/G-DUjgUyY To be honest I really don't like giveaways where you can get better chances by giving your link to other people, some guys like me don't really have enough friends who actually care about any of this. But I'll give it a shot anyway. I honestly feel bad for even participating in this giveaway...means I'm one more guy who's helping get rid of linus' rig...unless he plans to make a new one and vlog it then I'm cool! Good luck to all.
  8. I like the idea of NUCs, they're very usefull if you want to share something with your family or friends, better than having to move your whole pc/TV. Good luck everyone!
  9. I actually don't have a pc right now, and I've never even built my own. All I've been using for the past 4 years is a pretty old Sony laptop with a i3 and an Ati (yeah before amd acquired them). It also sounds like a jet engine and needs to be connected to the wall to work. Gotta ditch that thing. This processor would be a dream come true, especially since my birthday is coming in 2 months so if I get this I will be making my first ever gaming/workstation build! Recently I've been getting into programming and 3D graphics so this will definatly help. Good luck to everyone and I hope the one who needs it most wins
  10. WOW all these results so fast...thanks guys, keep them coming if you have any more though
  11. hey guys, Ever since I've discovered Linus Tech Tips it's been my only reliable source for checking out new products, fortunately for me then all the things I wanted to check out where covered by linus. However now that I've become more interested into tech I've found that a lot of new products aren't being covered by linus, which is totally natural since he is a human being. Now I don't expect him to review every product on the planet, so I wanna know which websites do you guys check out when you want to check out something which linus hasn't covered or you want to see different opinions. You know, the websites which you trust the most. Please include websites for anything: from components such as power supplies and storage reviews all the way to end products and gadgets. Thanks in advance P.S: there should actually be a sticky somewhere on the forum for "Reliable Resources"...just an idea.
  12. So Mac Air is apparently a very good option...any Windows laptops though? cause she's never ever used an Apple product. I wonder why is it so hard for me to choose when it comes to laptops...building a PC is sooooo much easier
  13. I don't really think the surface is a good option because it's more tablet based; I mean it's basically a tablet with a keyboard attached. If a convertible is ever gonna be an option I think it would be better if it was more laptop based, she said she doesn't really know if she wants a tablet or not.
  14. Yeah, I've heard a lot of recommendations online about the mac air being a good option for uni
