Got it. It’s a great flash although new revisions use newer flash.

    No, only the flash.

The first revision used Micron NW969 as flash (which corresponds to 96L TLC as the TechPowerUp review shows) while the latest revision that I saw uses Micron NW994 as flash (which corresponds to 128L TLC - Micron's decoder to decode it). The fact that it now uses 176L flash is a mine speculation, I assume that as the MX500 and BX500 use it, but I'm not sure.
Yes, 128L/176L is faster and more enduring than 96L flash.

The price is very good looking at the other SSDs, but the Crucial P5 runs very hot, so you should buy a heatsink.
I also didn’t find review but the 1TB SKU seems something like the Team Group MP33/Silicon Power P34A60 (so yeah, DRAM-less with a SMI SM2263XT and Micron 64L/96L TLC) while the 2TB SKU seems SM2262EN-/Phison E12(S)-based.
The P5 as long as you can buy a heatsink.

Thanks. Didnt see the post. Still need to know how to navigate around here.

I have a question. For some reason, my GPU is not picking up any jobs. Are these GPUs too old for the jobs?

I have a Mobility Radeon HD 5730 and a desktop Radeon 5670 running.

Also, would Nvidia GPUs such as GT620M and G310M be too weak for the task? My old Zenbook tried folding once, but it failed.

Yes, seems that should work; see FP64 spec at https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-r9-m275x.c2658

As to the specific issue I wouldn't currently know I'm afraid. We're basically all of us DDoS-ing F@h and  it's hard to separate issues that are due to a local problem from those that are due to former. It is any case not to be expected that all will be smooth....

Hello. You can definitely run multiple computers under your account for the team. But the assignments are assigned randomly. Just keep folding with whatever you are given. Anything counts.

Yes, those don't support double precision in/through OpenCL; if you study the log you will undoubtedly see being assigned a work server 192.0.2.1 for the GPUs which is in fact an unroutable address, reserved for documentation and examples, and F@h's way of telling you that the GPU is unsupported. It's not evident in the frontend that it is because in theory the queue's available for single-precision work units, but well, those don't actually tend to exist anymore in practice.

Of that generation of AMD only a few top-models in the HD 58xx, HD 59xx and HD 68xx, HD 69xx series support OpenCL DP. I do believe that anything "new" does but I couldn't really tell you where the break-off point is specifically. The Nvidia types you mention would to me also seem too old but frankly I haven't payed much attention to Nvidia for many, many years now (am a Linux user) so perhaps simply trying is the best method: if you're assigned 192.0.2.1 as a work server, then you know they're not going to fly either.

Hi guys, just wondering if I can still see the list of participants for the event going on right now. I entered a few days ago, and just making sure if I was on the list.

booting up some old and new laptops I had laying around... tied them to one workstation for remote control. I'm just here to fight this, not for the keys or anything else (though i'd be happy if I did win anything) as long as we find a cure or a means to stop this disease, is my ultimate goal for now.

Being under Quarantine for the next 10 days is going to be... slow...

Another newb here to add to the collective. (in fact, long time lurker/LTT viewier, first time poster)
I'm all set up and already working on the first WU. I've only got a 1060m but every little helps, right?

It seems the distribution is random. Few of my computers got the Coronavirus, while others get random ones such as myosin and other microorganism research. Though when I tried a method mentioned earlier with setting a client-type and beta, it seems to hit the coronavirus distribution each time.

I'm new here, just joined. Does anyone here uses multiple computers to fold in their home?
