I think of gaming computers like basketball sneakers or cars. Having the best top of the line expensive gear isn't going to make you a better gamer. Yes it will increase the frames but it's not going to make your aim better when you're playing an FPS or your strategy better when you're playing a MOBA. If I get sneakers from Walmart or Target as compared to getting $100+ Air Jordans, am I going to be better at basketball? If I get a Bugatti instead of a Nissan Skyline, will that make me a better street racer? Sure for some games you're going to have to upgrade to at least the minimum or recommended specs but that should be it (My i7 3770k and GTX 670 were surprisingly able to run Apex Legends on low settings). Always keep in mind that it's about skill, not what you are using. Just my two cents.
