I am running a vCore of 1.35V, Idle at 32C (room at 21C) and FAH set to 10 cores but using all 12 to 100% at 69C.  Max HWMon temp of 76c in the last 24h.
The de-lid accounted for a 23C drop in CPU idle temps, and a 10C drop in max temps while moving from 5.0-5.2GHz and that is with a Kraken X62.

If you want to know more message me as this is getting little off topic for this thread I think.  I am new here and not wanting to derail a thread.

Thank you for your suggestions. I have dial back to stock freq for now to see how it go, probably have to do some cooler cleaning too. Sitting around 65-75C on load now, which I guess is reasonable for long sustain load like this. Shouldn't have push that far when i only have a hyper T4.

I second that 100C is wayyyyy to hot and is probably throttling the CPU.  A quick search suggested that 100C the rated tj max (built in throttle to prevent damage to the processor)  for your processor.  So something like 75-80C is probably a high ceiling for overclocking that.

I have a delid 8700K running @ 5.2 AVX-0 well tested and running like that for months.  I also have been running a Strix 1070 TI (+800 mem, +170 core) that has been tested with longer OCCT runs to verify no memory errors.

    F@H proved that wrong.

I didn't want to give up my OC completely so:
For my CPU i put it to AVX-2 and bumped up the voltage by a tiny bit (0.05V)  it's 24/7 folding stable now.
For my GPU It has taken days and multiple failed projects, but I think that a decrease of 20% core speed and 35% memory speed made it stable now.

I can now sleep/ work without worrying much about folding stability while sheltering in place. yay.

I didn't see my stats page update until like 24 hours after I started folding, definitely isn't updated in real time.

I doubt they would want any old servers in the mix, it is active research data and there needs to be control over that as it is actually highly valuable IP (potentially) plus it requires a lot of storage and good internet to be of any real use.

HB Pavilion Slimline (circa 2014? Beats me)
    Lenovo T430
    Lenovo T450
    Lenovo X1 Carbon (2nd gen)
    Dell Latitude 5500

Good thing electricity is included in my rent!

If there's still major issues with work unit assignment I believe the minimum requirements for the event will be reduced.
Event starts in 2 days so we'll see what the situation is then.

It could be that point allocation from collection servers is just delayed...

I'm not all that great with command line stuff. I use Mint as my daily driver, but that's because it's pretty easy to use.

Hello everybody, I hope I'm not late for this, but I'm reporting for duty on my 2011 Dell Optiplex 790 sporting a cuad core Intel I5 2400, and an AMD Radeon HD 5450, it might not be much, but after watching Linus' video in regards of this topic I've decided to join to the cause (And join the forums because I'll ask something else on other topic)
(I've been watching LTT content since they tested some electronics under water on a Mexican beach, so I think I saw the other video regarding this topic)
I wish the best of the lucks for everybody and the success of this project, Cheers

    Not at all...Thanks!

I'm also using my wifes PC for my account, but her CPU was getting hotter than I was comfortable with. It's a Ryzen 5 2400g and it was using 7 threads bringing the temperature up to around 75C. Her RX 570 seems to be running around 72C. I'm not content letting the CPU run that hot overnight fearing it may get hotter. So, I set it down to 2 cores.

Hello all, this is a great event! Just stumbled on this now as I started when LTT posted its video on F@H against COVID-19. Last was active on the LTT forums Nov 2017, just came back to help on this pandemic. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US AND ITS AMAZING TO SEE A COMMUNITY COME TOGETHER LIKE THIS! ❤️

Depends on what CPU you have. If you have something with a decent core count then you can run both. It is recommended to set aside at least one core for your OS so that your computer doesn't get sluggish and one for the GPU folding as it still needs to relay info to the GPU. You can do this by limiting the number of threads your CPU work slot has access to in the advanced configuration tool.

As an example I have an i7 8700k, it has 6 cores and 12 threads. I have set my CPU slot to use at max 8 "cores" (in the settings the core here is logical cores or threads, not physical cores) that way I am reserving 1 core (2 threads) for my OS and 1 core (2 threads) for the GPU slot to make use of.

I hope that wasn't more confusing. lol
