  1. Alright. Definitely gonna wait for the 3000 series and then think about it. I’m also thinking that when the 3000 series drops, the price for a 2080 Ti will fall, so it could be a good option if the price does fall by quite a lot, if not, then the 3080 would be the clear choice. As for the CPU, I think you’re right, not worth upgrading to an i9 9900k since my i7 is at 4.8.
  2. That is true. Anyway, as I still gather my thoughts on if upgrading is worth it, if I were to get a 3080ti when it comes out or a 2080ti now (just hypothetical), after doing this, would it also be much of an upgrade to get an i9 9900k or does the i7 7700k still hold its ground?
  3. Low FPS for new games when running them with ultra settings, and to be honest I havent really been up to date with new PC parts ever since I built this pc that I currently have (summer of 2017) which is why Im asking if this upgrade would be worth it at all. Thanks for letting me know about the rtx3000 series launch coming up.
  4. And after getting the new mobo, would it be as simple as just plugging in the same hard drive I was using for my Z270 or would I need to do some other stuff.
  5. I mean, I can work towards saving for the i9 haha, but I want to know if it will be that much of a significant upgrade after getting the 2080 Ti. Also, I think if I get the i9 I’d have to get a new motherboard, is that correct? (currently have MSI Z270 M5)
  6. Hey guys! My PC is currently running an Nvidia GTX 1080, an i7 7700k overclocked to 4.8ghz on an MSI Z270 M5. I am looking to upgrade this. The obvious upgrade is to change that GTX 1080 for a GTX 2080 Ti, but I was curious if it would also be worth the money to swap that i7 7700k for an i9 9900k based on the upgrade I would get. Let me know! Thanks guys!
