You are not missing anything in regards to RTX.
I would choose a higher performing GPU for a lower cost.

The player i have had for 5 years and earphones for 3 years. Both bought on sale from Amazon.
 
They both still cost less than a 64GB iPOD product and sound superior.

Minimal difference in real world performance, but userbenchmark says 17th percentile for the first one and 90th percentile for the latter. Firmly believe people just game it for some kind of bragging rights (i mean, it's what I would do, LOL)

edit: i got totally mixed up on my screenshot folder, so pardon my many edits.

It will, I think it will look fantastic even with reduced setting. There doesn't seem to be much vegetation since the entire game is in a city so it may not be so demanding as I think. Vegetation can be extremely taxing these days.
 
Haha yeah. I built this PC hoping it can run CP so Imma probably kms too if I can't lol. I don't think we aught to worry though. They postponed the release to add finishing touches, polishing and optimizations for PCMR. Something Rock* never bothers to.

i remember one night running prime 95 on my FX-8320 for hours on end only to blue screen 30 seconds in the FIRST battlefield map i loaded.
Only time will tell if your settings are stable or not...run mutliple games if you have issues always suspect your overclocks first.

You think we'll get a top tier Ti this time? They'll just release the xx80 with the listed number of SMs possible and how many were cut then spend the next 2 years teasing the Ti but never releasing it. The after 2 years release the Titan for $5000 by way of an evil person stroking a cat meme on twitter.

Medium is understating it, it can push 60FPS with high details in most games, but yes it is becoming slower with every new released game, Cyberpunk 2077 gives me a feeling that it will put the RX 500 series into the 30-40FPS range at medium-high.

It's a 1080p/144 GPU for esports, 1080p/60 medium GPU for most games, and 1080p/30 medium for some AAA games. 
 
It's definitely a good value, but it's got its limits and is already 4 years old.

Space is tight in my 1br apartment, my computer is side by side with my wife's so I had to go vertical. Purchased a vertical monitor mount and a LG 25 BL55WY-B and StarTech ARMBARDUOV Vertical Dual Monitor Stand. Also picked up my new Vortex Race 3 keyboard with Kraken USB cable.

New DAC, who dis?

Found a NAD M51 for a really good price on the used market.
For anyone that knows their audio, this is a pretty (in)famous DAC. It basically takes PCM signals and converts and upsamples them to PWM prior to the final conversion to analog. It's a baffling design decision, but I'm curious as to how it'll measure.
It was rather difficult to take this picture. This weigh in on the better side of 12lb.
 
It's also rather funny that it says "digital DAC" on the front. As opposed to all those analog DACs out there.

Hhhmmmmm that "fresh product" smell!!!

Those kind of dithering is very visible in Monster Hunter World and it annoyed the hell out of me. I see similar effect in rFactor2. 
It is a rendering technique though iinm.

Good up to 1.4v if you have the cooling.

If you don't already have a graphics card, the 1650 super would be a pretty major upgrade. The i3 would most likely hold it back in most games but you'd definitely see improvement.

The issues are in every game, some games just are not as complex as others.
 
Dishonored 2 (playing for the first time)
Object and edged flicker because of 1080P resolution, when i put it to 4K it increases the resolution of objects and the flickering goes.
The line on the ship were almost non-existent.
Foiage pops in like it does on almost every other game.
 
It is normal rendering and has always been like this with video games.
 
The more complex visuals get, the more artifacts you will get also. It's far easier to render Quake II than it is ARMA III or The Witcher 3.
 
 
 

Even a 5500XT needs an 8-pin iirc so yeah. I can't really think of any good PSUs that only have a 6-pin PCI-E cable, so you might want to consider an upgrade there too.

@GreyestGoat you are saying that I shouldn't run my 2070 at 1080p? I haven't heard of this so I am just curious. Thanks.
